Ron Paul Town Hall message touching

I am an Australian, but was watching the Ron Paul Town Hall message on youtube http://prisonplanet.com/articles/januar ... b_Hall.htm
It is quite touching. I am convinced that the Lord has sent Ron Paul at this time to give the USA a chance to avert his judgements. This person could have been Mitt Romney but he forfeited that right somewhere down the line. How can any member of this church watch this and not want to cast their vote for him. The Book of Mormon says (paraphrasing) that the Lord will send forth his judgements against the Nephites when they vote in wicked leaders over righteous ones.

I think this is the USA's big chance and opportunity to vote in a righteous leader to bring the country back closer to God. If America doesn't listen, then what ever happens after that will have been brought on by themselves. They alone will be to blame.

Boy, do I agree!

I was thinking the other day of the Lord's Prayer:

...Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven...

This is literally asking the Lord to come here and establish his kingdom on the earth, and have his will done here, just like it is in Heaven. I remember reading how one of our modern prophets said he always prayed for this to happen - as in "now". I thought that was a little rash, at first.

But, when I see the mainstream media so effectively and completely cutting Ron Paul out of the public discourse, and I see most everybody sop up the media's mindslop, supposing to themselves that they are informed and have real choices in front of them, when all they've got is a bunch of vetted Establishment wannabees, who would, wittingly or not, most certainly preside over a rapidly-expanding federal government that would continue to destroy liberty, it makes me sick. I think to myself that we, as a nation, are now so inept at discerning truth, and such slothful stewards of our freedom, that we deserve to lose it. At least, a loss of freedom would seem a natural outcome of this situation.

When I see so much apathy and insolence, and especially mocking of Ron Paul, I get a strong feeling that we are living on borrowed time, or even beyond it, and I pray, myself, that God's kingdom would come NOW, so that we could get past the inevitable sufferings and get onto something better - where truth and righteousness will prevail, instead of lies and darkness.

I am supporting Ron Paul and I'm hoping that a critical mass of people will wake up to reality. I think that if many could just hear Ron's message, which is nothing other than what the Founders would say today, were they here, a light would certainly go on in people's minds and the fog could begin to clear. Regardless of how things shape up, I am going to be voting for Ron Paul, and not the lesser of evils, as in past elections, because it is the absolutely right thing to do before the Lord at this time. ...Let the consequence follow.

When I saw the ABC debate coverage I actually cried when I saw Mitt Mock Ron Paul. It was bad enough when Guliani did it, but Mitt too?

Yeah, if we as a whole do not elect Ron Paul, I am certain that there will be more destruction then we have seen this year and last.

Yeah, I feel that Ron Paul is Samuel the Lamanite and sadly Mitt Romney has become one of those other "prophets" that the people only like because he tells them what they want to hear. Helaman 13.

Now will we as a nation listen and repent or will the consequences follow as we continue down the same wrong path????

Mitt taking Ron to task is pathetic. Ron Paul appears to be the only man running for President with any true integrity, morals, ethics and convictions. Just because Mitt is LDS doesn't mean we, as Latter Day Saints, should automatically cast a vote for him, especially when you look at his record as a politician and see all of the flip-flopping he has done in order to appeal to diverse groups of people. Ron Paul's voting record speaks for itsself. Did any of you see him on the Tonight Show last night? I was very impressed with his confidence, knowledge and desire to tell the truth and do what is right. He was asked a question regarding Guiliani and something he said or did in a debate and Ron simply said "Rudy doesn't understand the constitution and what it allows and doesn't allow our government to do".

Paul is the epitome of righteous government... the other candidates, IMHO, are part of the 'establishment', including Mitt. Ron is about as genuine and sincere a man as I've ever seen and he will be getting my vote in November. Many would argue that it is wasted vote because Ron has no chance, but in my judgment, all that matters is that I do what I know is right because the Lord knows what I'm doing is right. This 'wasted vote' mentality is why the same cast of characters keep getting elected year after year after year and it is exactly why we are in the financial mess we're in today with everything, not to mention the political illteracy in this nation.

So true. Last night I was watching CNN and they kept having these specials on about how women voters were reacting to Hillary. Many of them were surprised that women weren't all giving her their support. I thought, what are American women so petty that issues mean nothing, just the gender of the candidate? If that's the case, then forget having debates, it would be a waste of time. Same goes for Mitt. Are all Mormon so petty and shallow that all they care about is whether the candidate shares the same religion as them? They don't care about opinions, issues, track record, etc.? The way I see it, Mitt is a politician like the rest of them. And he happens to be mormon. But he's first a politician.
