Just another new face...
Hello everyone,
My name is Robert and I have been learning a lot about constitutional law from the perspective of "original intent/original meaning" or "after the tradition of the American Founders". I am 28 years old and though there are still lots of things I need to learn, I feel pretty good about all that I have been blessed with the opportunity of learning thus far. I am a convert to the Church and was baptized in 2003, I served a mission in Boise Idaho shortly after that. When I came home from the mission field I entered into the United States Navy and became a logistics specialist.
I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I delight in the learning and implementation of the principles contained therein. I testify that Joseph Smith is the prophet of the restoration. I know that there was in fact a great apostasy that took place after the deaths of the Apostles and that a restoration of all things was truly necessary. I testify that the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution paved the way for such a restoration to happen and that the principles contained in those documents are eternal. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and that he holds all of the keys to the priesthood. I know that Apostles, Seventy, Stake, ward and other area leaders have been called and ordained by the power and authority of the holy priesthood by the laying on of hands to carry out the respective duties of said offices. I know that that priesthood is necessary and by that same power we can do work in the temples for ourselves and our families in this world and in the next. I am truly grateful for and testify that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I am grateful that even though I make mistakes, "Nevertheless, ye are blessed, for the testimony which ye have borne is recorded in heaven for the angels to look upon; and they rejoice over you, and your sins are forgiven you." This is the testimony in me and I leave it in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Nice to get to know you Robert. my first impressions, young but wise beyond your years. A witness of Christ, and the truth, bold, [not afraid to use real name instead of hiding behind occult avitar] . welcome brother, the battle is real and heating up. Glad you are here.

Re: Just another new face...
Thanks everyone for the friendly greetings. As I am young I am aware that I have a lot to learn and look forward to gaining insights from all of your knowledge and experience. I am truly delighted that I found this place. I posted http://www.ldsfreedomforum.com/viewtopi ... 19&t=20297" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and am trying to understand this topic better, if you have any scriptures or talks on this subject I would really appreciate it. My intent is to know what I can do as a member to better live the gospel and help others in that same light. Thanks everyone

Welcome, Robert. That was a wonderful testimony. Just know that the Adversary will be coming after you....he hates those with true testimonies.
