General Conference is in 3 weeks

How many of us would know what to answer if asked the question, “You mean to tell me that God speaks to man in our day and you can’t remember what He said?”

So to prepare for this next conference I started reading the May Ensign to read through the last talks.
So many talks stuck out at me, and I wanted to share each one of them...

What are you doing to prepare for Conference?
What are you doing to prepare your children?
What traditions do you have during conference weekend?
Do you have any experiences you would like to share from past conferences?

I'm so bummed... I"m in the Air National Guard and I always have drill weekend on General Conference weekend. So, I end up having to play catchup for weeks afterwards. It truly is a bummer when we do have a prophet and I miss it for the Guard. Guess maybe it really is time to give that gig up.

Another thread asks about keeping the keys. When we see these men up on the stand we know that the keys are still here. They may not teach everything - but what they do teach is beautifully simple and simply beautiful and if followed will take us back to our Heavenly Father, the Father of our spirits, thanks to his perfect Son Jesus Christ who was sacrificed like a lamb on our behalf that we might receive mercy and forgiveness and not judgement.

The Keys are still here. The Church is still true. Yes Conference is always wonderful.

I try to fast and pray beforehand that I'll be prompted by a couple of things Heavenly Father wants me to do because of what I hear. I have stopped taking notes altogether (can read the talks in the Ensign, and online), and instead only write down what I feel are the actions I'm prompted to do. For example, last October I felt very strongly impressed that I should memorize the Proclamation on the Family. Didn't really relate to whatever talk I was listening to, but felt deeply impressed to do so. Took me a month, but I did it, and it has greatly blessed me in some very specific ways.
