Education Week
So I went to education week. A couple people have asked me to share my notes. I want to know if people really are interested especially because my notes won't be as complete as I would like. Frankly sometimes I wish I could get a brain dump. So if you all want it I will do it. I just need to know there is enough interest to get past my notes not being as complete as I would like.

These are my notes from one 55 minute class with Donald Parry. He does have a web site and said he will post his education week notes. They aren't there yet, so I am assuming it will be after the Education Week in Provo. He convinced me we are in the 7th seal, (And yes you will hate me for this) but I can't share why.
Class on Revelations The great day of the Lord’s coming with Donald Parry
No fluff in Revelations. Revelation 20:4-6 Thrones plural. Jesus and the Father sit on the same throne. The child that dies will be in the same form as it died but possessing all the intelligence of God during the millennium when we get to raise them.
Lord God means “he will create gods” Word Elohim in plural means male and female.
Rev 5:10- This earth will be resurrected Doctrines of salvation 1:74. It has been redeemed by the blood of Christ. If you are living the gospel, don’t worry about the signs. Why are the signs of the times a blessing to us? 1)They warns us that we must be prepared spiritually. 2)They warn us to get prepared temporally 3) give us knowledge so we won’t be deceived. 4)They reassure us that God is in control and that he will keep all of his promises in his time. 5)They give us markers and sign posts showing us where we are in the history of the world.
Rev 7:1, D7c 77:8 4 destroying angels given power over the earth to save lives and to destroy.
Rev 7:2-4, Ezek 9:4-6 5th angel seal of living God can make your calling and election made sure. Parents who get to keep their wayward children are those who have received their calling and election made sure.
God has held the angels of destruction for many years, lest they should reap down the wheat with the tares. But I want to tell you now, that those angels have left the portals of heaven…(Couldn’t get the rest of the quote) this was in 1894

Rev 15-16 We should read vials as bowls. Purposes of God’s judgments: 1)motivate the wicked to repent. 2)Bring justice to those who refuse to repent. 3)To bring justice to the righteous. 4)To motivate the righteous to prepare. 5)To prevent the wicked from continuing in wickedness, hurting others and themselves. 6)To cleanse the earth.
Christ is faithful and true. When he came the first time he was on a beast of burden. It meant that Christ had a burden himself, the atonement. When he comes again He will be on a horse which represents war.

How do we see properly?
John 3:1 Nicodemus sees a teacher come from God, a miracle worker, rabbi, and that God is with him. Nicodemus is dead wrong. God is standing in front of him. Verses 2-3 don’t seem to have a connection. Jesus is saying you don’t see me. You have to be born again. You cannot “see” God and who he is without being born again. You cannot “see” without the Holy Ghost. Do we “see” each other as we truly are? Do we see ourselves as we truly are?

Conference doesn’t manipulate us. They are creating an atmosphere in which the Holy Ghost can dwell. All we can do is create an environment for the spirit to be able to come. We can’t make him come.
D&C 11:30, D&C 25:1, D&C76:58 are all conditional.
In an unreborn person you are not a son or daughter of God. Moses 8:13 If you are not born again you are a son or daughter of man because you won’t hearken to the Lord
Moses 6:36 A seer sees things the natural eyes cannot see.

2)ears hard of hearing
3)eyes can’t see a far off
You cannot have the word of God mixed with the philosophy of men. Pray to see yourself clearly so you can repent.
Strive-to work with. It is hard to be willing to be corrected.
Moses6:64 Now he can see. Adam becomes the type of someone who is blind that comes to see. The inner man loves the things of the spirit. Quickened in the inner man. If you’re not born again you are dead to the things of God.
Moses 6:67 Adam has Temple ordinances done. Only had as a husband and wife. Eve received it too. You cannot receive the fullness of the priesthood alone.
Becoming one with Jesus Christ

Adam is the pattern we all must go through or we stay blind. The doctrine of the priesthood distills like the dews of morning.

1)Obedience and sacrifice. Sons of Moses &Aaron-descendents of Levi. Levites restricted to hold the priesthood. Sons of Aaron would be a priest. Priests and Levites- take care of the tabernacle, they offer the sacrifices, collect tithes, have to be obedient to whatever the prophet commands them.
Aaron- Bishop, Priests
Levites-Deacons and teachers
2)Seed if Abraham (chosen seed)- all the blessings of the gospel.
3)church- Joseph smith translaten12 purpose of the church is to bring forth the man child (zion)
D&C 105:32 Kingdom=zion Word of God “seed” planted in the woman. Pregnant with a people prepared to live zion.

Rev 17:1 Whore is Babylon. Horing with Babylon is joining with her. Chastity means not to have intimacy with the world. Not ot join with the world.
Priest has holiness to the Lord on his head. The whore has Babylon on her forehead. The key to the woman is chastity. Wide definition. The church has to have a union with the Savior, not the whore.
Law of sacrifice is just giving up stuff.
In the Temple we dress to go back into the Lord’s presence and be one with him.

Consecrated with sacredness with the heart. This creates the elect of God. Fullness of the priesthood is exaltation. Any group, organization, philosophy or person who takes us away from the gospel is the whore.
There is no gift of the spirit that is gender specific or position specific.
D&C 84:36 If we could see properly we would conflicts with church leaders don’t even matter. We need to see them as truly servants of god. We can cut our binding to them and sink ourselves to hell (part of a quote by Brigham Young.)

Adam and Eve nakedness symbolizes innocent and clean. They partake of the fruit and hear God. They hide, anything you do that you want to hide is inappropriate. They cover themselves with fig leaves or a fake atonement.
Genesis 3:21 First thing God does for them is give them coats of skin. Coats of skin represent the atonement. To be properly covered innocent blood has to be spilled. First thing God does is point them towards Christ. Fig leaves are a false covering Matt 21:19 Savior curses the fig tree or the false atonement and the false atonement withers on the way to do the real atonement.
All false atonements are anything outside of Christ. Satan always tries to get us to do a false atonement instead of a real one. Cain does a false one as well. (Not confessing properly is one way to do a false atonement.)

Leviticus 18 Land itself spewed out its former inhabitants. Earth responded to the sickness on its face. Land masses separated is evidence atonement is not being used in people’s lives.
Genesis11-Divides language because they built a fake Temple. Enmity protects us from evil. During the Millennial day-Language turned back to pure language. Land back as one. Enmity is gone because there is no need for it.
Plan of salvation is one huge chiasmus. Sealing room has alter(sacrifice)in the middle. Sealing room is the plan of salvation.
Plagues of Moses blood, flies, lice. The only plague that delivers Israel is the slaying of the first born. The power of the Almighty is the slaying of the first born. Passover is the sacrament. Pharaoh is a type of Satan, Moses is a type of Christ.
To make a covenant (in Hebrew) means to cut the covenant. Moses cuts the red sea then the people walk through and are saved in that cut.
The Sword of God is a double edged sword. It “cuts” for you or destroys you.
Moroni(in Alma) Cuts garments, he is making a covenant. Tearing of bread is the same. We are saved in Jesus’s cuts. Which is why he requires us to feel his cuts when we meet him. The veil of the Temple was rent at his death symbolizing that no longer can only one priest go into the holy of holies once a year. Everyone now has access because of Christ and his atonement.
Mana greatest symbolic thing to understand grace. You don’t have to do anything for it to come down. But you have to pick it up and eat it. Jesus is the Mana-for us to benefit from Christ we must pick it up and have it in our life.
Exodus16:4 How is mana a test?
Alma 37:46 Don’[t get deviated because of the simpleness of the way. Scriptures are mana to prove us. If you aren’t eating your mana everyday, you are putting Christ away.

The Sword of God is a double edged sword. It “cuts” for you or destroys you.
Moroni(in Alma) Cuts garments, he is making a covenant. Tearing of bread is the same. We are saved in Jesus’s cuts. Which is why he requires us to feel his cuts when we meet him. The veil of the Temple was rent at his death symbolizing that no longer can only one priest go into the holy of holies once a year. Everyone now has access because of Christ and his atonement.
Mana greatest symbolic thing to understand grace. You don’t have to do anything for it to come down. But you have to pick it up and eat it. Jesus is the Mana-for us to benefit from Christ we must pick it up and have it in our life.
Exodus16:4 How is mana a test?
Alma 37:46 Don’[t get deviated because of the simpleness of the way. Scriptures are mana to prove us. If you aren’t eating your mana everyday, you are putting Christ away.

Cannot speak highly enough about this talk given by ETB. Just an incredible explanation of why the temple is/should be the center of our lives as Latter-day Saints. IMO, the best talk out there for putting the temple in the proper context.What I hope you you will teach your children about the Temple, Benson
