Z : I KNOW my motehr understood as she made me promise to do her endowments and sealing. I got pure hell from my sister. I then showed her the scripture in the NT and she did apologize.

Sam...You mean your sister was upset for you doing your moms temple work? That is the precise reason im not telling my family that I plan to do my dads. The thing they should understand anyway is that we are not forcing them to do anything. We are simply providing and opportunity and it is up to them to accept it. So regardless of anyone's beliefs I dont think it should be a big deal. At least that is what I plan to tell anyone in my family if they get upset with me. I dont think they will though...hopefully. But I dont have to ask anyones permission in this case so its good.

Best: No, She WAS mad for a Church that would NOT allow a member to attend his own mother's funeral. That I beleive has been straightened out once she realized the teachings of Jesus on this topic.

Interesting how we had similar situations, when I got home my father's family wasn't very keen to the idea of me not going home right after he passed, I actually had to fend off some nasty accusations from friends as well...( like me having more love for a fake church started by "John Smith" that takes people's money and sacrificing my mom and brothers to it ..lol) but did not bother me, but hey at least your sister saw the light, and that is good.

Wow, Im really sorry to hear that Zkulptor. Im sure that was heart breaking. As if things are not hard enough when a parent dies especially when you are still young and they are too. Got ya Sam. Im glad it got worked out. Its tough when you are misunderstood by your own flesh and blood.
