Stev: be a marketer and tell me why I should be interested in your new website? My time is very valuable to me.

Not selling anything. There are many in this forum who have blogs I read, this is mine. It's a place outside the forum to share resources and ideas. If you read the about page on the site, I've summed up the purposes of this particular site. This is where we go to make introductions, so I made one.

Thanks Jules,

Well, as I have grown more in my understanding through the study of principles, I have begun to realize how black and white things truly are and the site color scheme overall reflects this change in my thinking. Principles make everything simpler. So I have simplified the logo to indicate three shapes: a square, an octagon and a circle. The square represents our temporal nature and existence, the circle is a representation of eternity and perfection or wholeness. The octagon is a transitionary shape between the square and the circle and is a direct reference to Christ who is the mediator between the profane and the holy or the earthly and the heavenly. So the symbol implies the transition to perfection through Christ; it's a simple principle, beautifully black and white ;)

Stev: Please forgive me for offending you. You see I spent 30 years as a Business Preofessor and consulting in Marketing. Great ideas need to be made known to people through marketing. I will definately look at and likely bookmark your website as I too try to understand the many symbols in the scriptures.

Hey, no problem Sam, you did not offend me because I did not take offense at your post.

I've got a background in marketing too and if I was dead serious about promoting a super-important cause I would have put a lot more into my presentation. However, I've been around here since '08 and am fairly active on the boards so I figured most of the people here would recognize me. This probably wasn't the best place to post this update, but it seemed to be the best place at the time.

I noticed that you are new so I would like to offer a warm welcome to the LDS Freedom Forum, this is the only forum online that I frequent. I really enjoy all the people here and their insights. We are also in the company of Dr. Steven Jones who you might recognize if you are familiar with his work on nanothermite in the dust of the WTC buildings.

There are some really interesting characters that you will get to know and I hope that your time here will be informative and enjoyable and I look forward to your contributions to the discussion.

I know Dr Steve fairly well. We ahve some business talsks about land near Adam Ondi Ahman. I'm probably embarrassing him, but he is one of my heros. It takes real guts NOT to back down on truth when it means attacks by BYU collegaues and forced retirement.

I thought your site already looked great. I do like the new look as well. Did you design it yourself? Do you do web design? graphics design?

I've also enjoyed various content on your site. Thanks.

@JulesGP
Have you ever seen one of these for your shower? http://amzn.to/kXCz7q" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I've been thinking of getting one.

@Samuel
Hey thanks, I hope that any information that you find can be useful to you.

@Brian
I didn't have time to design this one. Professionally, I am a graphic designer/developer and usually build everything from scratch. However, I've been swamped and didn't have the time to dedicate to the whole process, then, I came acros a theme that was well-designed and suitable for my needs so I just went ahead and purchased it. From there I had some code and graphics to tweak but it was cake.

The main reason I decided to start the blog is because I'll be talking to family or friends and a certain topic comes up. Then they will want all the references and quotes on that topic so I will have to spend time digging the same stuff up over and over again. So placing all the info and references online allows friends, family and anyone else for that matter to access the info any time all in one place. Putting all the content into an article form helps me to really think out the concepts and organize my thoughts. I think everyone should have a blog to post their research on.

Steve: Waht personal impact have you seen in your life and other's lives as a result of this excellent webpage? Do you find investigators looking in and asking questions?

Well, it's been a blessing to me because it has really helped me focus on the items that I study. It's been very convenient to have all this information in one spot so that when I go to give talks or want to share a bit of information with someone, I just shoot them a link to a post. I haven't had too many people write in though. I've disallowed comments because I don't have the time to moderate discussions, debates or answer a ton of questions. I had someone recently send me a scanned image of a sheet of paper with odd symbols on it that someone put into her friend's mailbox with no explanation. So I took some time to see if I could decipher it. Unfortunately, I have reserved all of my time on symbolic studies to understanding how they are used for truthful and righteous purposes. I'm not familiar with occult groups and their use of symbols.

For now, it's just my testimony out there on the web. My main inspiration came from Elder Ballard who said: "...may I ask that you join the conversation by participating on the Internet, particularly the New Media, to share the gospel and to explain in simple, clear terms the message of the Restoration. Most of you already know that if you have access to the Internet you can start a blog in minutes and begin sharing what you know to be true."

I'm just trying my best to fulfill his request. I know I've been blessed by doing it and I only hope that the information benefits those that come across it. Each article is a work in progress, as I learn more, I go back and update the information to keep everything as current as possible. The site is literally my public personal study notebook. I do have other records that are personal, but I take the general ideas, find solid references and compile the information in a way that I can keep personal revelation private and make sure that anything I post on the site is completely supported by revealed truth through the proper channels. Anything outside of that I keep to myself. I'm not a believer in so-called "deep-doctrine" as it is sometimes understood. Like my mission president once said: "There's no such thing as deep-doctrine, there's only true doctrine and false doctrine." That's pretty much my take on the information I post.

Terrific staregy and wonderful that a challenge from Elder Ballard started you going. If I can be of help in terms of moderation, I offer you my services.

I'm probably going to grab one too, as well as a filter for my fridge. Do you use one of those? My wife found some online but I haven't looked into it yet.

Thanks for the offer. I'll have to think long and hard before opening the system up to comments since I only really intended the site to function via one-way communication. For now, people can contact me via the contact form if they have extra insight or would like to offer criticism.

Maybe I'll put a form at the bottom of each post that invites additional insight on a particular topic. If people have more information that I have missed, I would love to know those things.

Oh, generally speaking I am totally open to conversation and the exchange of ideas. But I must be respectful of the time that I devote to my family, my callings in the church and my profession respectively. For now, I'm just publicizing my studies so they are available, I don't have the time to present the site as an open platform for debate. That said, the contact form is there, people are free to contact me if they have anything to say. I'm a web designer/developer/marketer, I know that you should not do anything on the web if you do not have the resources to support it. For right now, this is all that I have the time for, but I think it is enough to be beneficial.

Delegate setting the parameters allowed. Rememebr when Moses tried to do everything himself? Father Jethro said delegate and ONLY handle the really imporatnt, game changing matters.

I would give the same advice to you. You really have done a marvelous work. Don't hold on to it as "I invented it and need to have total control." It is so easy to fall into the trap.

Well that would be the case if this was a major informational site, but it's only a private blog. It IS called ONEclimbs after all ;) but I get your point. Someday, if I feel the need to offer a more robust experience I would opt to involve more people.
