New site: The Mormon Chronicle

I know someone already posted about this... I've teamed up with Ezra Taylor to create The Mormon Chronicle: http://www.mormonchronicle.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The site will feature articles and podcasts addressing mormon news, sacred cows, debunking falsehoods, and so on.

We would appreciate your feedback: http://www.mormonchronicle.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

To answer Mahonri's question: "What prompted you to want to do this new site?"

Most of the websites I've created are focused more on political topics, principles of freedom, etc. I wanted to create The Mormon Chronicle as a way to better branch out into addressing all aspects of Mormonism, while also still covering Liberty-related topics. More specifically, while a broad spectrum of topics will be covered, there will be a focus on addressing sacred cows, taboo subject, little-known Mormon history, important Gospel principles, and so on.

I like the website too. It is really needed, but really? Ezra Taylor? I think he is a bit pompous, self righteous and judgmental. To each their own I guess. @-)

Good job Brian! Looks like you got the NOM's on the run woo hoo!! http://forum.newordermormon.org/viewtopic.php?t=21001" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Wow... I just had multiple friends on facebook post a link to this article.
http://www.mormonchronicle.com/three-da ... ch-within/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Actually it is the GC address given by Ezra Taft Benson back in the day, http://www.gapages.com/dangers.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but it has just been rediscovered by our conservative Mormon counterparts and they are passing it around. I just finished reading it and I can't even believe what I have just read! Complete fear-mongering BS rhetoric that these TBMs are eating up. I felt physically ill by the time I was done with it. Here is one little gem (one of MANY)...

Quote:
These false educational ideas are prevalent in the world, and we have not entirely escaped them among teachers in our own system. There are a few teachers within the Church who, while courting apostasy, still want to remain members of the Church, for being members makes them more effective in misleading the Saints. But their day of judgment is coming, and when it does come, for some of them it would have been better, as the Savior said, that a millstone had been put around their necks and they had drowned in the depths of the sea, than to have led away any of the youth of the Church.

Freak! No wonder others are so afraid of us evil "Cafeteria Middle Way NOMs" This is not the message I want my loved ones in the church hearing.
I just can't see how I will ever feel like I belong there.

ps - I also learned that there is nothing ETB would love more than nuking commies!
Hope everyone is checking out what the enemies of Christ are so afraid of

"true blue Mormon" or "true believing Mormon" depends on the person.

TBM - True Blue Mormon (Becoming a Saint)
TPB - The Powers That Be (New World Orderists)
NOM - (In Name Only Mormons?) Is this correct?

I just want to add my voice, great job Brian!

When you first announced the site, my first reaction was, "another site?!". But I have to say I really loved the articles I read and I have been linking them through Facebook!

Sadly, I have a few friends that probably fall into the category of the one quoted by Mahonri. It just saddens me that it is this way. I can only hope that I am standing squarely in the Zion camp and I don't have one foot in Babylon (or worse a summer home).

Great new site. Thanks!
