I am all for omitting the pledge of allegiance to the flag all together at this point. Maybe we can do flag burnings instead.

Mazal, didn't you know there's a new pledge of allegiance now...

"I pledge allegiance
to the banks
of the United States of America
and to the profits for which they stand
unlimited bail-outs, under the 'Fed'
invincible
with debt and servitude for all"

Made it up myself! :D

The sad part is that few church members would even blink an eye to what he is doing and stands for. :ymblushing:

Well isn't is "COOL" after all to have a Mormon in office? I mean if he's a temple recommend holding Mormon, he "MUST" be a good politician too... right??? :ymsick:
LOL....some like to adhere to that logic!

Of course weren't there members among the mob at Carthage???? Wasn't Jesus betrayed by an apostle????

I know a guy who knew him when he was in his the Nevada state congress, and said he was less than reputable back then.

I wish the Church would come out with a list of organizations that association with would mean you could not answer yes to certain questions.

That seems what is really going on. Actions speak louder than words.

The author of the pledge of allegiance was a devout socialist. Francis Bellamy said that one purpose of the Pledge of Allegiance was to help accomplish his lifelong goal of making his cousin's socialist fantasy a reality in America. His cousin was an influential icon in the socialist movement, "author of the extremely popular 1888 socialist fantasy, Looking Backward. In this novel the main character, Julian West, falls asleep in 1887 and awakens in the year 2000 when the socialist "utopia" has been achieved: All industry is state owned, Soviet style; everyone is an employee of the state who is conscripted at age 21 and retires at age 45; and all workers earn the same income."
