It was supposed to arrive this morning, did anything occur?

Nothing to worry about - the blast occurred on the other side of the sun - it is not earth-directed. From spaceweather.com...

AROUND THE BEND: A coronal mass ejection (snapshot) observed today by the SOHO spacecraft heralds the approach of an active region to the Earthside of the sun. The source of the blast is currently located behind the sun's northeastern limb, but solar rotation will turn it in our direction in the days ahead.

Considering that the sun is a celestial planet (source), what is a "Coronal Mass Ejection"?

Brian, a CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) is a massive discharge of charged particles, radiation, X-rays and plasma from the sun due to twisted magnetic fields deep inside our solar disc - they're typically associated with solar prominences (flares) and sunspots. Essentially, it's a giant BURP by the sun and when it does this, depending upon the magnitude of the eruption, it can affect our planet from anything ranging from simply producing beautiful and spectacular northern lights (aurora borealis) to frying satellites and even power grids. The magnitude of the eruptions are usually measured in B, M or X classes, with an X class flare the strongest. One X flare occurred back in 2004 (I think that was the year) that was so powerful, had it been earth-directed, you wouldn't be reading this today - it was an X28 and it would have fried everything electrical on planet earth, with years and TRILLIONS of dollars to get everything back up and running. It would have been game over basically - just shows you how we are at the Lord's mercy and mother nature's.

OK i could be wrong Brian correct me if so, but I understood your question to be "if the sun is a celestial planet" what then could be our interpretation of the CME? Meaning what would cause that in the spiritual sense, or what would it mean in the spiritual sense....thats how I viewed his question...I'm pretty sure he knew "What" a CME was sounded more like he was asking what it was in relation to it being a celestial planet.

Exactly.

Good now that we got that straightened out let the speculations begin :D
