quick question about BYU / NCAA tourny

Post by Epistemology »

Since BYU football plays Friday nights instead of Saturday during General Conference weekend, will they play or not play if the Bball team makes the final 4, in which the game will be played Saturday of Conference weekend?

We teach many young men that it is perfectly acceptable to pursure a career in which you must work on Sunday (i.e. football program)so...I thinks it's no problem for them to be playing on conference Saturday.

I didn't know BYU had a basketball team?!

Just kidding. I just don't care much. I think the real question is...

If BYU makes it to the final four, what will YOU be doing on Conference Saturday? :-ss

Checking the score during the hymns. If it is even at the same time as the day sessions. Wouldn't mind if they played during the Priesthood session. =)) =)) =)) Then I wouldn't miss any of conference or the game.

Not to be disagreeable... But I would hope I am not the only one who disagrees with that statement. I don't think it is acceptable to work on Sunday for useless and meaningless jobs like being a football player... And I certainly hope that is not what is being taught in church. Yes there are jobs which occasional Sunday work is part of the gig (public service i.e. Hospitals, Care Facilities, Police, Firefighters, etc.)

But to each his own I guess.

As for the conference Saturday. It's never been taught that you shouldn't work on Conference Saturday.

I would be in Houston, then read the Priesthood session in the Ensign later.

I have my priorities set straight.
