I was talking to a co worker today about the resent earthquakes, that have hit both New Zealand, and now Japan. What I said to him was
"have you ever noticed that when a natrual disaster hits, one of the firts things you hear from the church is, all missionaries that are serving in the affected areas are all safe and accounted for" Makes you wonder who is in charge, and that "standing in holy places" really does matter. It also goes to show that the Lord is aware of who is in His srevice.
have you ever noticed??

We know who is in charge. Thank goodness for that wonderful knowledge. It's very comforting.

I think that's a false assumption. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. Your way of thinking means that if a missionary were to die he/she must not have been standing in a holy place. I don't believe that in the least, FWIW.Ferg wrote:I was talking to a co worker today about the resent earthquakes, that have hit both New Zealand, and now Japan. What I said to him was

I'd have to agree with shadow. A couple months ago I was reading this...

Agreed, Shadow. The origianl post did give me an interesting thought: Is it possible that in stating "all missionaries that are serving in the affected areas are all safe and accounted for" is a confirmation that all missionaries have NOT been called home???shadow wrote:I think that's a false assumption. I think you're missing the point.. That being, when we are doing what is good in the sight of the Lord, we will be able to weather the storms that are coming. Yes the rian does fall on the unjust as much as it does on the just, the differance being the just are more in tune and therefore better able to understand these events.
