Should I get my child vaccinated?
I know this topic has been addressed before, but I thought a poll might be helpful.
My youngest child is going in for his 9mo visit next week. For his 6mo visit I convinced my wife to say no to the shots because my son had a cold and already wasn't feeling good.
My wife though isn't convinced. She feels like it is simply too much hassle to deal with trying to get our kid into a school if they haven't had their shots. I have had my wife read the following, but she has doubts about who is really telling the truth...the "truth" that we have been taught since childhood that vaccines are safe and effective, or the "truth" that vaccines are harmful and do a lot more damage than has been reported and that we should stay away from them at all cost.

Any suggestions?

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
Very good topic. I would like to hear what people think. I have two 7mo girls, and I haven't done enough study on the issue to convince my wife to not get vaccines. I hate them. I don't like what I've read, I hate seeing my girls get them, and I always weigh on the side that we do too much (interventionism) and there are unintended consequences whether it's the natural system of our body, economy, or what have you. However, I didn't have enough ammo to convince my wife. I don't even know what vaccines my parents had me get... Perhaps I should ask.

If you think vaccines are safe then you need to do some more research.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
If one wants to avoid vaccines in Utah all one needs to do is go to their local health department, sign a waiver and talk to a nurse for two minutes. To me this is much less of a hassle than going to the doctor, getting the vaccines, dealing with your screaming child, dealing with any side effects your child may get, and regretting your decision later.
You can always change your mind and get the vaccines later, but you cannot take back the vaccines once you have received them.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
FWIW our two oldest had their baby vaccinations, our oldest had the vaccinations required by school. For our 2nd child I had to go to the health dept., pay the $20 extortion fee for the nurse to sign the waiver because he wasn't current on his vaccines. Our 2 youngest haven't had any vaccines at all. My wife is a RN and was trained on the great good vaccines do so for things like getting the waiver and refusing the infant vaccines, that's my job. Other than that she's been supportive.

My children and older grandchildren were vaccinated. But now I have encouraged that there be no more vaccinations, except the tetanus shot. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have done the shots.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
we have an almost 3 year old and a 10 month old. We did not voluntarily vaccinate either, and for the 2 year old, at the hospital we specifically denied permission prior to birth to give any vaccinations. However, about a year and a half later we went through the hospital packet looking for birth documents (for an airport), and found the vaccine card with one stamp on it: hepatitis B. We were very angry but never did anything about it. So he's had one. Our younger was born in a birth center and he's had none.
The younger one is definitely more mellow though it may just be personality/genes. Our older one is NUTS about machinery; fans, blenders, mixers, washing machines, anything which shows a display of power. So he'll pretend one of his toys is a blender and yell the house down in imitation. Sometimes I think: that $%&@ hospital better not have had anything to do with this!!!! We gotta work on that kid.

Unless you are willing to do all the stuff that your wife thinks is a hassle, I would defer to your wife on this issue. You can both pray and fast and follow your promptings. Whoever has the strongest feelings win.jdtech wrote:I know this topic has been addressed before, but I thought a poll might be helpful.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
The more you research the more you will see that there is no such thing as a safe vaccine. But this is a conclusion that you'll have to arrive at by yourself, and not because me or any one else tells you so. Me and my wife have decided not to get our daughter vaccinated, and never will. Unless of course we are forced to.
All the so call studies that have been done on the safety of vaccines are either directly or indirectly tied to the companies that make them. In one way or another. So from the very beginning the information is flawed. Should you choose to vaccinate, and something happens to your child. You will not be able to sue the manufacturers. Thanks to a ruling just recently passed by the supreme court.

I don't think it's a one size fits all decision. If there is one single lesson I've learned as a parent it is that prayer and trusting yourself to hear the answers is the most important thing. Everyone will have an opinion and honestly most of those opinions don't mean squat.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
Which is why its so important to research this topic as much as possible. The pro vaccine side is obviously going to tell you its safe. While the anti side is going to tell you its not. The anti side is mostly made up of parents who have delt with the side affects of vaccines first hand. The pro side is mostly made up of people who have something to gain from telling you that vaccines are safe.ChelC wrote:I don't think it's a one size fits all decision. Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
My oldest 2 had their vaccinations, but they received them many years after recommended, which I think can make them less severe. We refused all vaccinations with our next child, and I stayed with him in the hospital for the first 1/2 day after he was born to make sure nobody did it behind our backs. Our next won't have them either.
There will be people who will say that they are REQUIRED! In Utah at least, those people either don't know the truth or they are lying.

Okay, I know this is the dumbest question ever, but I can't figure it out. How do I vote? I see the vote, and the results at the top but how do I give my vote? Thanks in advance for someone that is willing to help me out. I'm a little slow, I apologize.

Follow the trail of money. Who makes money on the vaccines? Its it the people who say they are safe or the people who say they are not?

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
For help with some of the questions posed here, many of you might appreciate the information compiled on page 7 of the thread, VACCINE INFOWAR IN CARDSTON COUNTRY.
http://www.ldsfreedomforum.com/viewtopi ... &start=180" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
None of our 5 kids has ever been vaccinated. I know enough about vaccines and feel so strongly about them that I would be thrown in a fiery furnace before letting anyone vaccinate any of my kids with any vaccine -- ever.

Specifically, with regards to the real risk-to-benefit-ratios of vaccinations for the dreaded tetanus and even polio...I think that you will find that you will be very well served to take the time to see what the highly regarded, highly credible brain specialist and surgeon, Russel Blaylock reveals on the subject. It will become evident that there has been a great deception going on with respect to all these things. About half-way down the page, or so...look for the post with the words, Video: "How Vaccinations Cause Brain Damage" -- Brain Surgeon, Russell Blaylock.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
Suggestions... don't vaccinate. Do all that you can to educate yourself, especially on how YOU can be your child's primary health provider (i.e. eat healthy, be active/exercise, sunlight, learn about herbs, essential oils, natural remedies), learn how to be as independent as possible so that you don't find yourself in a situation where you want/need to see a doctor.jdtech wrote:I know this topic has been addressed before, but I thought a poll might be helpful.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
See my previous post for more important info about that...the public has been heavily propagandized about tetanus...as well as polio and smallpox. Brain specialist Dr Russell Blaylock very effectively dispells the myths and history revision that Big Pharma has promulgated to the tune of many billions in realized profits...during his presentation on how vaccinations cause brain damage, and do so much more frequently than the public has been led to believe.dconrad000 wrote:

The people making the vaccines are evil...
But seriously, what scientist would lump all his eggs in one basket? Shouldn't there be a control group? I'm A-O-K with my kids being part of the control group.

Re: Should I get my child vaccinated?
Just get the CDC manual. Look at the ingredients in those things. Mercury is only the smallest problem with them. I also find that most of the militant pro vaccine people have a hard time arguing when it comes straight from the CDC book. While I don't trust the CDC or any other such organization, they have the appearance of being official, when people say "you read to much on the internet, vaccines are safe" showing the book takes the wind right out of their sails!
