How good was that!

I really enjoy Priesthood sessions of conference, and tend to just read the other sessions.

This one was terrific

Not only did they make the effort to speak just to us and Papua New Guinea, but they sere actually briefed on our situation.

Then, to hear this brother from England spaeak- well, how differnt did those scriptures sound!

They were beautiful. The scriptures sounded so different when heard in such a tongue

This is not a dump on USA, but my goodness it is an awful accent, and offers (me) little to hear scriuptures read in it. I just can't warm to it. Thankfully the Lord will speak in a different tongue and the scriptures will take on an entirely new meaning to us

Compare to listening to this Elder, well, the scriptures just sounded so different

Then the Mexican sister was good, and Bro Scotts talk was marvellous. I mean, really good.

Bro Uchdorf also, although his needed to end after 20 minutes. the other 25 minutes was just filler to fill 90 minutes, and kids and audience had lost it by 20. Im sure he probably said an hour before "guys, can't we just make this 20?"

Overall, one of the best conferences I have been to.

Really glad.

Stake centre full.

So did all those leaders come down there? Was it a multi stake conference? Did they give any pearls of wisdom you care to share?

In all sincerity this post says more about you that it does about the conference.

I knew a sister missionary from England and I would always ask her to talk like John Wayne. Funniest thing ever!. By the way, why do aussies sound so much like the Brits and Americans dont?

Because Hollywood, and the various network Evening News anchors have set the accent and grammar for America.
