LDSLiberty.org Article Contest

To kick off the new year LDS Liberty will be holding an article contest. We are looking for the most well-written article advancing the cause of liberty specifically based upon the restored gospel, addressed to a general LDS audience. This is a very broad topic so feel free to either write an article broadly explaining liberty or on any topic you feel is key to understand in order to defend liberty. All articles submitted in January 2011 will be automatically entered in the contest. All submitted articles will also be published on LDSLiberty.org (unless it doesn't meet the LDS Liberty standards).

The winner will receive an MP3 Player (1GB) loaded with top LDS Liberty Episodes, The Law by Frederic Bastiat, Common Sense by Thomas Paine, and liberty-related talks from Ezra Taft Benson, Hugh Nibley, J Reuben Clark, Marion G Romney, Stephen Pratt, and others.

Additional comment by me, Brian... Articles topics are not limited to just the political aspects of Liberty, but all aspects, any subject that can be related back to Liberty and also written from an LDS perspective... this could include addressing a political principle, economic, education, health, etc.

Any number of threads could be compiled and quoted from to make a pretty robust article... There is so much good information that comes out of the discussions on this forum... That said, I'll leave it to you experts for now.

...which reminds me... a friend of mine who sometimes reads the forum commented on the fact that there are definitely gems to be found on the forum, and it's a good place for learning, but sometimes to find those gems you have to dig through a lot of much (paraphrasing)... I wonder what ideas we might be able to come up with for making a place to put the Gems from the LDS Freedom Forum?

Is this the last contest or are you planning on doing one in the future? I would like to submit an article but I am probably too late for this contest right?
