New Superbugs are emerging

BOSTON — An infectious-disease nightmare is unfolding: A new gene that can turn many types of bacteria into superbugs resistant to nearly all antibiotics has sickened people in three states and is popping up all over the world, health officials reported Monday.

The U.S. cases and two others in Canada all involve people who had recently received medical care in India, where the problem is widespread. A British medical journal revealed the risk last month in an article describing dozens of cases in Britain in people who had gone to India for medical procedures.

How many deaths the gene may have caused is unknown; there is no central tracking of such cases. So far, the gene has mostly been found in bacteria that cause gut or urinary infections.

Scientists have long feared this — a very adaptable gene that hitches onto many types of common germs and confers broad drug resistance.

I'm not JulesGP, but I will give my opinion fwiw . I use both, doTerra oils and some from a company called NativeAmericanNutritionals. Both products are good. I personally would recommed starting with the following oils:
-Lavender (of course. It is great for getting a good nights sleep. I LOVE it for my 3yr old!)
-Peppermint (upset stomachs, headaches, focused thinking, pain relief)
-Ginger (upset stomachs)
-Both companies have "tummy" blends that are great for any stomach upsets.
-A blend that is based on the "grave robbers" blend, during the great plague in Europe. doterras would be On Gaurd, NAN is called Spice Traders.
-Melaleuca (colds, bug bites, skin-great for acne)
-Clove ( analgesic-toothaches!, headaches, nausea)
-Oregano (heavy duty anti-biotic)
-Black cumin ( It has a reputaion in the mid-east, to "cure anything but death")
-Frankincense (can cross the blood/brain barrier and bring healing in a way drugs cannot)
-Lemon ( colds, depression)
-Both compaies also have a blend for respitory illnesses. doTerras is called Breathe, NAN is Breathe EZ (for colds, sinus problems, coughs, etc.)

Both companies also have good educational books.

Reese, I have not used NativeAmericanNutritionals before, but thank you for the reference! I am looking into some of their oils that I can't get from doTERRA. I used oils from another company for about 14 years and then switched to doTERRA because the quality was superior. Do you feel the same about NativeAmericanNutritionals? Are you a distributor for their products?

I think doTerra oils are high quality. I have looked into both companies products and I do feel that NAN are probably the better product. But as I said I do use doTerra oils as well. NAN is not an MLM company and so you have to purchase from the company itself. They do however have a small office in SLC area that you can set up an appointment and go purchase oils with no shipping fees, if your in SLC.

I agree with you. I have very little use for modern medicine. It is best for emergencies, not prevention and treating the cause, not just the symptoms.

Thanks for this good summary of essential oils and where to buy them. Do you use a diffuser with your oils? If so do you recommend a certain one? The ones I've seen at doterra and NativeAmericanNutritionals seem really expensive.

I use a diffuser as it puts the oils into the air in your home and gives you constant exposure - and it's a good way for my son to have the oils too. It's like having a healthy air freshener with health benefits too. IMO doTERRA's Lotus Diffuser is good, I think if it puts out a good amount of "steam" it is good. I've used some cheaper ones that barely have a trickle and were garbage. But I'm sure there are a lot out there that will work well, I would recommend seeing it work before buying.

Deep Blue is a doTERRA blend that has wintergreen, camphor, peppermint, blue tansy, blue chamomile, helichrysum, and osmanthus. It has anti inflammatory properties and is used for arthritis, rheumatism, tendinitis, low blood pressure, congestion, and relieve sore muscles, joints and bones. It has been wonderful for my fibromyalgia.

I would add those to the list reese suggested! Good luck!

Warning this is more on a "supercure" not the "superbug"!

JulesGP I wanted to recommend a NAN blend called Relief, for pain relief. It is comparable to Deep Blue. You will see that it is considerably less expensive than Deep Blue. I use it for a herniated disc in my lower back, and I love it. I have not tried Deep Blue, if you give Relief a try, I would be interested in how you think they compare to each other.

Well personally, I've used my oils for about 15 years now, and I don't think I've sold one bottle or signed up one person. But lately I feel like I need to be more verbal about the benefits of oils and the dangers of medications and immunizations and share what I know. But it's really no different than if I opened up a store and told people about the amazing products I carry. Either way, I think people need to be prepared and know what else is out there as the pharmaceutical industry becomes more and more corrupt, and people waste money and damage their health even more with government regulated medications and such.

And I was able to get myself off of medications I'd been taking for 12 years - and was told I would never be able to stop taking. I also overcame an eating disorder that I suffered with for years. I did all of this using Essential Oils and natural methods - not drugs and band aids - that like my medications, were making me sicker. So any time I see an opportunity to tell people, I do.

How were you able to get yourself off of your long-term medication?
Did you have to wean slowly? How long did it take? What essential oils

My mother in law was diagnosed with fibermyalgia (sp). After many years she finally went to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ and they said it was Lou Gerig's disease. She passed away 2 years later.

tlove, as horrible as it all was, I am so much stronger and I would not have learned so many things I know now if I hadn't had to live all that. It also helped me overcome many lifelong struggles unrelated to health and learn things about the Gospel I never would have known before. So it all turned out for the best! I am SOOOO grateful for things now that I took for granted before!

Oh, so did these trials lead you to the gospel of jesus Christ, are you a recent convert? If so congratulations.
