Timeframes for seals and millennium = exactly 1000 years?

The Prophets have already said it all & few listened. Most everyone seems to have rejected it. Blindness is a choice & most all members seem to 'want' to remain blind & not see the evil happening around them in their families, friends, wards, cities & country or what's coming because of it.

I believe it's definately the silence before the storm.

When Ezekiel talks about Gog going against the land of unwalled villages, to "take a spoil," I believe he is prophesying against the Gentiles or America. As the story progresses, Gog is turned back (defeated), but a "hook is put in his jaw" and he is now brought forth against the Jews (Armageddon). pjbrownie

Wow, I'm so glad to see you believe that America is the "land of unwalled villages". I have always felt that way but everyone keeps saying it is the land (country) of Israel. And if Gog is Russia (or Georgia) we can really get a feeling for what's to come.

So when food prices double, inflation skyrockets, economy double dips and crashes, and everything comes crashing down within the next year and a half or so, as much as I'll want to tell you all that I told you so... There is never any joy in accurately forecasting catastrophe!

The bottom line is--what are we to look for NEXT. Whether or not our understanding of seal or time frames are accurate, we still need to know what is in the immediate future. We know that America is heading for judgment--that the Gentiles are rejecting the gospel, first as it is happening now, at a person by person level--soon it will be governments that will reject the Church, prohibit it from proselyting, and then persecuting us once again to the point where the blood of all the Saints will cry for judgment and God will come down upon the Gentiles with swift vengeance. A remnant will remain and together with the remnants of the House of Israel, will redeem Zion. This will not happen exactly in conjunction with Armageddon. One must be preparatory to the other.

Look for scourges (past and future).
Look for economic distress and collapse.
Look for civil unrest and violence (yes, here in America).
Look for persecution of the Saints, perhaps even martyrdom.
Look for deliverance, probably nuclear fire reigning down upon coastal cities.
Look for invaders that destroy the wicked of the Gentiles, and then "as a rod of His indignation," are then humbled and swept off by the power of angels. Some of these invaders will be of the House of Israel and will convert to the truth.
Look for destruction of water to the coasts, cities being swallowed, landmasses realigned, earthquakes that destroy cities, and darkness to cover the land.
Look for the Saints in the Americas to gather to the everlasting hills for protection from the indignation.

Is this not the calamities foretold by Nephi, Moroni, Christ in the Book of Mormon, as well as prophecies in the Bible? Yes, and it is my opinion that these judgments are the signature events of the sixth seal. The 1000 years is an approximation--we don't have to adhere to the year 2000 AD to trip us up, so its okay to still know that we're in the sixth seal. It is measured from Adam, and we aren't sure when 4000 BC began, so we're okay. Our calendar is a human invention and must not be treated as holy as it is. Yes we know from modern Revelation that Christ was born 0 AD give or take a year. But we don't know when the fifth seal started, which was 4000 years from Adam.

Look to the signs.

Many of these signs mentioned have happened symbolically, true. They've happened in a limited capacity so far. Those that have eyes, have seen, but soon, all men will see. They will see the deliverance of Zion from the Hand of God and they will marvel, but many still will not repent. 144,000 will go forth to claim the ones that have. Others will seek the Beast and his prophets instead of God, for Satan will deceive the world with his own miracles. Then will the Lord prepared the Beast with the trump judgments and vials to prepare the way for Armageddon and the deliverance of the Jews.

If you want to know what the Lord intends for us, read the Book of Mormon, Isaiah, and the D&C. If you want to know what the Lord intends for the Jews, Revelations and the Old Testament are key.

I am eager for the fall of babylon.

I am so torn about this. I want more time to prepare and for my family to prepare for the things that are coming. I'm not in a hurry to see the destruction. Yet, Babylon is affecting just about every decent family in the world and I wish it's time to end would be soon, so as to protect my grandchildren. My oldest is almost 16 and he's at the point where he's questioning the gospel. I know it's natural, but at the same time, I've already lost family to Babylon and don't want to lose any more.
