Share your Art Gift

Post by ChildWise »

As in any culture/society might one say there are 4 corners or pillars/columns that guide (for better or worse) society's unfolding journey, evolution or destiny with the four corners perhaps being: Ecclesiastical / Finance / Intellectual / Political & offshoots like Media, Security, Education, Science, Health and so on....?

Does the Arts and Culture/ Entertainment sector have some responsibility to encourage gathering together of the sectors, fostering unity amidst the battling corners tainted with warped Self/Pride...?

There are those on this form who have fine arts giftings to share and encourage. Can we splash up the wall a bit with some fine text & heart spinning colors.

Several days after my father's death June 2010, here's a poem that flowed from pen in hand.

HOUR GLASS MAN

stirring
the troops
guided by Your hand
children today with hands
clasped kneeling low at the foot of
the ole Plumbline No man knows the day
as Hourglass sands run low stand still, firm and true
To the One Who Commands whispers from within
where sickle winged ravens fly and follow the tracks from eternity inside where Dad holds our hand and Red and Blue mingle to Crimson flow as Yellow Fire builds, burns, discerns gently strokes His lambs as Temple whips fly while Tears doeth flow like grains of sand running down Hour Glass Man . Soldiers wait still & move swiftly
to and fro in ones, twos, squadrons and more guided by your Hands.
Where window-sil spikes held Him high Driven by you and I
Now childrens hands clasped standing tall.
Plumbline angles, towers over 'Gee
Eight & Twenty Summits'
no higher than
the hole in the ground
where Red and Blue
mingled down to
kneelers now dancing
like the glorious crown
on The Lion and The Lamb
Broken-hearted One
Who builds, burns, discerns
gently strokes His lambs
with Temple loaves and fishes
sustaining and stirring the troops
guided by Your hand here on the ground beside Hour Glass-man.

Painted by a Sioux Indian/White mix man:

Inspired from a vision account by another: " 'Ephphatha" is the Aramaic word that Jesus spoke to a deaf man that He healed. It means"be open". In this painting the heavens are opened. The book of the Lamb is opened, and souls are being drawn up in front of the throne. God sits between the seraphim and Jesus is on his right with his arms around His father and His head in God's lap. He weeps for the souls that are lost."
