When you see these things...?

I am under the assumption that there is a verse in Mormon or Moroni that says something along the lines that when you see these secret combinations come among you to know that the time is getting close and prepare yourself for that. I have had hope that this is the time we find ourselves in and it is a warning time for those that listen to the Prophet. I hope that we aren't too close to when TSHTF, and that we will have some time to prepare. As a young father or a young family, I know I could use more time to prepare. Anyway, I can't seem to find that verse...can anyone help?

You're probably referring to Ether 8. The verses are in the 20's somewhere, I don't know exactly.

I feel pressed for time as well. Im fairly new married guy myself, almost 2 years, and ive had all sorts of financial battles not of my own choosing. we don't even have tv, or a cell phone because we cut those out to pay bills and school.

My wife racked up some crazy medical bills after 3 trips to the hospital, and i'm wondering when im goign to get a breather to buy food storage and other survival gear hehe.

I guess as long as im trying the Lord will provide. I have to keep reminding myself of that.

This is how Satan attacks those who somehow make it through the confusion and actually marry --makes it virtually impossible to afford a house, afford to have kids, afford to have wife stay home with kids, etc.....

The temptation is always there to sell yourself into financial bondage in exchange for otherwise righteous desires.

My greatest physical desire is to own a house my family hasn't overgrown, in a place where I dared let my kids play in the front yard but I won't do it on Babylon's terms.

It doesn't say to prepare when you see this, it says to AWAKE, and to not just sit and let things happen ("suffer these things to be").

As I have been thinking about these verses the last couple of days I have wondered what the following refers to, "for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not."

Is that past deaths of making the saints cross the plains, the massacres, etc., or is that future blood to be spilled. I sure hope its not the second, but can't discount it.

Of course when Babylon is taking 70% or more of your production on an annual basis.....makes it awfully hard to escape the devil's snares!

Its largely a reference to wars since so many are killed in them and they are started by secret combinations.
