Ocean floor about to EXPLODE---this footage is from August 2

You all got to have a look at this - the whole sea floor within the field of view actually rises up a bit, and then falls back down a bit, rises and then crashes the whole sea floor lower than it was before - it really is as though there is some enormous pressure down there that could blow through at any moment...

You've perhaps seen layers of material that can be lifted off lake beds or sea floors as sheets. It's called an algae layer, I believe. Notice that in the field of view there are no bubbles? Outside the field of view, there has to be a release somewhere for the layer to drop back down suddenly.

In this case, I'm guessing it is a sediment layer that has been glued together by petroleum heavy products.

Was the robot pumping gas or air under the surface? What was the arm of the robot doing below the surface?
