Of course she blocked it... an independent investigation would uncover the fact that BP officials knew there was a strong possibility of a blowout (which is why Goldman-Sachs and BP's own CEO sold 40% of their BP shares a week before it happened) and likewise, that 40% of the oil is suspended beneath the surface in huge plumes thanks to all of the 'Corexit' being dumped and sprayed into and on the Gulf. It would also uncover the fact that the blown well itself is only a small part of the problem since there are several other sites within the vicinity of the blown well where oil and methane is leaking into the water at much higher rates. Essentially, BP would go bankrupt and be put out of business if information like this, which is only mostly found right now in the alternative media, were disclosed en masse to the general public. Fines for oil spills/leaks are based on the number of gallons/barrels released into the water. If BP has that happen to them, it would be game over, but who knows how many Washington, DC politicos are tied to BP financially and have much to lose with its dissolution. Not only that, if you thought Wall Street and the financial market were rocked when Lehman Bros., Bear Stearns and the whole financial mess began to unravel 2 years ago, wait until BP goes belly-up.The latest version of the CLEAR Act is slated for a floor vote in the House this week as Democrats look for ways to use the Gulf oil spill as a means to pass elements of their unpopular energy agenda.
