My friend has this farm in Moab, Ut ... they've created their own currency too, he's trying to wake people up to the reality of our money situation. The money is catching on around the town.

LOL....and its pegged to the dollar! Also you can't get the currency without trading an IOU for it.

I like the farm and the concept, it's in Moab - so I'm sure that hemp will be a great cash crop ( sorry - I couldn't resist that ) but seriously I think it's all great- except the currency, as long as it is tied to FRN's it's no good.

Gold or silver, anything of value- even hemp, is better than worthless paper!

The reason it's tied to frn's is so the farmers can buy materials early in the season.. I think his idea is great though... People are realizing their money is only paper... People are subliminally being prepared to survive without ties to frn's. It's not perfect, but it something.

True....didn't mean to knock it down....too much thinking out loud!

Of course the reality is we are stuck with FRN's until that powers that be go by the wayside. Right now....while the attempt is valiant....just asking for trouble.
