We must start warning our neighbors and standing up against this tyranny now! Do we have to wait to be told? Have we no free agency, intelligence, and inspiration to do things that must be done now? But....things aren't that bad, right? So why bring stress into our lives? Well, as soon as the Gadiantons get sufficient power, which they are now gathering, and then it becomes too late to avoid the hell they will bring against us, then we will be weeping and wailing and gnashing our teeth because we didn't act when we could have....and many saints will die and terrible things will happen to us.
I guess I am talking to the men here......how can we allow hell to come against our precious wives and innocent children? If we do nothing to protect our freedoms, Church, and families, will God protect us all without any effort to do our duty?
Look at Captain Moroni and his efforts to protect all he holds dear and sacred. And what did the Lord say of him: ".....verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." Alma: 48:17 I think the key phrase here for us is: "and ever would be , like unto Moroni.." Big shoes to fill, yes, but are we trying to emulate him as the Lord suggests we should?
What's our duty?
Just curious as I've talked until I'm blue in the face....and no one wants to talk to me about it because I'm too depressing. The only feasible and realistic solution I see at this point in time is steps to preserve my family and extended family.....along with efforts to provide means of self sufficiency to those around me (gardens).
I'm all ears though and open to suggestions.....I've been involved with several projects that ended up looking like they weren't going to anywhere so I bailed.
At the end of the day I think the wallet will be the determining factor.....and the central banks control the money that goes in the wallets.....so absent a major religious revival (come to Jesus moment) and everyone tossing out the central bankers (Congress must go through revival first in order for that to happen).....I don't see anything successful happening and think its best to prepare to bunker down for the collapse into out and out chaos due to the wickedness of the people.....they will turn on each other when the prize is at hand!
Meanwhile the Lord will have His own stimulus going for repentance....seems good to bunker down in prep for that also!
Well Jason, over the few years I have been on this forum i haven't contributed much until lately, but you have been going full bore for the time you have been here, so I commend you for that, we sure can't say we weren't warned and informed by you.
But I think you are kind of giving up the offensive battle a little too soon. Of course I support you in your plans to prepare, as all of us should be doing, the Church has been pleading that for some time now. I think some mormons think that these last days will just be involved in suffering a little bit having to eat our food storage and having to forego many things of comfort but they never consider the violence, the rape, the murder that will come. Most of us on this forum know about the 11th commandment in Ether 8:24. Here we are commanded to wake up to the sense of our awful situation. You state that "... and no one wants to talk to me about it because I'm too depressing." Well you might want to point out to them that we are commanded to wake up to our awful situation, and if that is depressing, then blame the Lord for that demand, not you.....we just can't have sugar and spice and everything nice all the time......we have to face the truth. I developed colon cancer a while back and kept ignoring the obvious signs, I didn't want to face the truth, too depressing......... I finally came around and awakened to the threat to my life and at that point I was able to take the appropriate action to save my life before it was too late.....but not until I awakened to the sense of my awful situation.
Again, you say that people think you are too depressing. Well, a positive delivery can sometimes avoid that. I am thinking of D&C 123:17, ".......let us 'cheerfully' do all things that lie in our power....." Yes, cheerfully....I have found that if I give a video or present some facts to someone on secret combinations, if I have a positive inflection in my voice because of the truth that I am offering someone then I see them most of the time take a positive notice, thinking in their minds that this info can be used for a positive purpose of cutting out the cancer. And if we read verse 13 we find that "we should waste and wear out our lives in bringing to light all the hidden things of darkness..." and of course we should do this "cheerfully."
The overall key is the 11th commandment quoted above. We won't get any more forward movement until we can awake more people. I give out videos all the time, mostly Alex Jones videos such as "The Obama Deception" and "Invisible Empire"....these two give a good overview of the Gadianton's influence and plans. I buy my blank dvds on sale and with the paper slip cover it only costs me about 30 cents each.....which can be cheaper than printing whole articles. Plus people love to watch TV and these videos are well done to capture people's attention. We don't know how many people we have to wake up to get the strength of numbers that we need, and I do feel the Lord will bless us once he feels we have done our part.
What is our duty? Well that is very clear to me and I am sure it is clear to you. If we were like Captain Moroni, whom the Lord said we should be (Alma 48:17) then we would be supporting our liberty, our lands, our wives, our children, and our peace. Captain Moroni took a blood oath to accomplish this, would we? Many Mormons don't do anything because they haven't been told to do anything by the Church. I don't have to be told by the Church to do something to stop this evil, it is in my soul and I cannot deny it. Besides it is not the Church's responsibility to take on the secret combinations, right now that job is for all good men, and women.....and who knows how many converts to the Church we might get in this process of awakening.
