Finally this documentary is on YouTube. This should be shown in every home as a family home evening activity -- then read the Proclaimation on the Family.

The Tribe of Ephriam was charged with spreading the Gospel -- isn't it strange that this group is the one dying out the fastest? Even in the Church we see missionary efforts scaling back due to the declining birth rates of the 1980s and beyond. want to get a big fight started on an LDS forum? Quote leaders of the Church who have said that we need to welcome as many spirits into our homes as we can -- you may as well walk into a bar in Salt Lake City and yell out, "Hey, I thought good Mormons didn't drink!"

So there it is...we live in an anti-natal society and this is by no accident, as many people here have studied and know. So how do we get this message out to our young and to the young in our Church and our communities in general?

This is so important. I am glad it is available as well

Understanding this topic from a scientific as well as Gospel perspective is vital, IMO

Here is some stuff on the same subject from that Gospel perspective

Thanks. Yes it is vital. raising a family is the greatest of blessings, but it is also hard work. Then you have schools that teach that the world is overpopulated, or that there is no future (global warming), and then there are the hedonists (gay marriage, party till you drop, etc.).

There are a lot of forces marshalled against having kids, especially a larger family. Perhaps LDS people need to put more emphasis on just how vital to God's plan it is to continue as we have in the past in regards to large families.
