PHOENIX – The U.S. Justice Department on Tuesday filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Arizona's new law targeting illegal immigrants, setting the stage for a clash between the federal government and the state over the nation's toughest immigration crackdown.

Unbelievable... 'challenging the constitutionality'...
... is there any doubt in anyone's mind our federal government is evil? Arizona is doing what the federal government should have been doing for decades now and they actually have the audacity to sue the state over something they're guilty of? Incredible... what a joke!!! Anyone know when the revolution begins?

Re: Feds suing Arizona
Then they should sue themselves for not enforcing the law that is nearly identical to the one Arizona intends to use internally.
If they do go through with this, then we will see Arizona declare sovereignty and not allow Federal officials to work inside their state.
Heck, The POTUS has already given a chunk of Arizona over to Mexico, because it is "too unsafe for US Citizens".
He needs to go to Arizona so he can be arrested by a sheriff and sent out of country.

I think the revolution is well on it's way, that is until the next episode of "dancing with the stars" comes on

There's no revolution coming.....sacrament meeting this past Sunday confirmed that in my mind. Everyone will end up bowing to the economic power wielded by the Fed. The only possible salvation will come from above! ....and most likely will be in the form of massive "natural" disasters and the wicked turning on the wicked to see who will be king of the hill for the day! imo fwiw

Where's my Head Start schooling for my kids?
Where's my "reduced/free lunch" program for my kids?
Where's my job "re-training" grant(s)?
Where's my home energy rebate?

He can't do this, because he doesn't have "papers" to prove his citizenship....pritchet1 wrote:Then they should sue themselves for not enforcing the law that is nearly identical to the one Arizona intends to use internally.

Re: Feds suing Arizona
Yesterday I received the following by email from the Arizona Governor
"Today, we received official notice of the federal government’s lawsuit against the state of Arizona.
"I am sure you will agree with me that the Administration’s lawsuit is an outrageous use of taxpayer money and a sure sign that the President is more interested in politics than securing our southern border.
"This lawsuit follows the President’s immigration speech in which he called for comprehensive immigration reform that – not surprisingly – includes a path to citizenship for those who entered our country illegally.
"Let me be clear, I will defend the rule of law all the way to the Supreme Court of this land if necessary. I will continue to demand that the Federal government live up to its responsibility to control our Southern border and to protect our homeland. And, I will oppose the President’s amnesty plan.
"But I need your immediate help today.
"In order to respond to President Obama’s lawsuit I have set up a legal defense fund to pay the legal fees that Arizona has been forced to incur as a result of all of these lawsuits.
"I urge all Americans who want a secure border to contribute to this fund immediately.
"This is not just an Arizona issue, this is an American issue. Are we or are we not going to enforce the rule of law in America? The burden alone should not be shouldered by Arizonans. Arizona needs you to answer the call today, right now."
"Make no mistake; Arizona’s immigration law affects the safety and well-being of every U.S. citizen. The federal government has failed to enforce the rule of law.
"As long as the Federal Government refuses to do its job, I will ensure that Arizona continues to live by a rule of law.
"Your immediate donation of $250, $125, $75 or whatever you can afford you can afford will go directly into fighting President Obama’s lawsuit. I do ask that you make this very important commitment today so we can immediately begin to defend against the President’s actions.
"Arizona is the front line of our nation’s illegal immigration crisis. The federal government is broken and our border is not secure. That is why Arizona had to act.
"I will not stop fighting to protect our country. I will defend us in federal court and we will continue to do the job President Obama refuses to do."

Re: Feds suing Arizona
We are at war, the goal of which is to destroy the United States economically, industrially, culturally, politically and socially so Americans will accept government by socialist or fascist dictatorship and ultimate incorporation into the new world order. The LDGs have been fomenting illegal immigration for years for this very purpose. People get hurt and even killed in war; soldiers and civilians alike. In this case, the enemy is using an invasion of civilians since they know Americans are generally loath to kill or hurt civilians, especially women and children. Certain cultures in this world think nothing of using civilians, women and children included, to shield their actions and disuade certain military actions. My father, USMC-WW2, knew of enemy attacks preceded by civilians, even children. I was aware of civilians being used a shields against Israeli attacks to destroy weapons and other ground forces that were being used against Israel. I see basically the same thing in the case of illegal border crossings and the planned amnesty.

The justice department says the law is unconstitutional as it usurps the federal administration's authority to set immigration policy.
I find this very funny that the federal government, who almost never follows the constitution is suing because a State is not going to wait for more federal non action.
The fact is, it is not forbidden that the states stop illegal immigration. So constitutionally, based on the tenth amendment, the states can all protect themselves from the illegal invasion.
The 10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
