so where are the 10 tribes?

Post by help »

I was wondering this very question today.

I know D&C 133 talks about them coming from the North with their treasures in the future.

I know some of the European history is interesting. It seems Christ's followers did go up North and set up camp. Over time as usual the gospel in its whole state faded away, and remnants were left. This ofcourse was part of the great apostasy, which led to the restoration. Obviously the geneologies of righteous european men like John Lathrop continued through the chosen family down the Smith's.

This would explain how the Anglo-Saxons lived laws similar to Godly principles. It is like their guilds systems are kind of a lesser form of God's United Orders. Obviously their are some differences when compared to D&C. I believe their were temples as well, I imagine patterned after the true temples, but without the proper authority.

So It seems the actual 10 tribes must be somewhere else then? The european people's have not brought forth their treasures yet, and with Monson the head of Ephraim, the 10 have not come yet with their gifts.

Different dimension? center of Earth? Hmmmm

I don't know where they are:

I do think guilds like the ancient London/Europeans can be a great way to work together on a "secular" level. One must be careful though, guilds can turn into ill-power, and even unions which take the rights away from the owner(s)

Guild type systems seem like a great system in a "secular" world where both believers and non-believers work together by the law. In the United Order "thus saith the Lord" in the D&C shows a even superior order for only believers like u were saying i think.

I think we can work together by the law, and guilds and other forms of commonality can work well until we can be worthy to live the higher United Orders. If a LDS man wants to work with Non-LDS there are ways to do it, but United Orders are higher for believers only. Also, if a man does not want to join a guild, he needs to not be muscled out if u get my meaning.

As for 10, when that highway breaks the ice and what not, when they bring their scriptures and records to Ephraim, wow what a day! From scripture I don't think we can know where they and their records are, or the scriptures and quotes about them would be in question.

Help,

One more thing about guild vs United Order. A Guild is manmade, the United Order is God (patriarchal) giving his children stewardships. A guild has voting stock based on democracy, not theocratic truth, the United Order common consent works on truth, and veto power is only with truth, in other words a wicked guild majority can vote out someone, a wicked majority UNited Order cannot.

Anyway, back to the 10

Jacob 5:
21 And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master: How comest thou hither to plant this tree, or this branch of the tree? For behold, it was the poorest spot in all the land of thy vineyard.
22 And the Lord of the vineyard said unto him: Counsel me not; I knew that it was a poor spot of ground; wherefore, I said unto thee, I have nourished it this long time, and thou beholdest that it hath brought forth much fruit.
23 And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Look hither; behold I have planted another branch of the tree also; and thou knowest that this spot of ground was poorer than the first. But, behold the tree. I have nourished it this long time, and it hath brought forth much fruit; therefore, gather it, and lay it up against the season, that I may preserve it unto mine own self.

If the first was planted in the poorest spot in the vineyard, and the second was planted in an even poorer spot, then the second must not be in the vineyard. So what's the vineyard?

Jacob 5:
77 And when the time cometh that evil fruit shall again come into my vineyard, then will I cause the good and the bad to be gathered; and the good will I preserve unto myself, and the bad will I cast away into its own place. And then cometh the season and the end; and my vineyard will I cause to be burned with fire.

Jacob 6:
3 And how blessed are they who have labored diligently in his vineyard; and how cursed are they who shall be cast out into their own place! And the world shall be burned with fire.
