Good News! More LDS waking up. Read this...

Post by ready2prepare »

Hi y'all:

This article by Steve Farrell, one of the original
pundits at NewsMax.com gives us reason to smile
today. It appeared in today's edition of Meridian
Magazine, which has over 65,000 LDS subscribers
online.

  • "...God made man in his image, endowed him
with agency, including various inalienable rights,
and in that he forces no man to Heaven,
certainly no government has the right to force
him into a so-called heaven on earth, even a
    socialist Utopia.

"Which brings us to the current crisis in America.

"It is the loyal opposition that resists this betrayal
of all that our forefathers bequeathed to us —
especially when one recognizes that today's brand
of tyranny (a socialism that has advanced for a
century, usually by stealth and patient gradualism,
but of late, more openly and aggressively) is far
worse than anything our forefathers faced."

I promise you: You'll want to read the entire article.
En-JOY!

The Loyal Opposition

Best Regards,
Sharon in Mississippi

This article from ldsfreemen.com is worth
(re)posting, too. It gives key points from
the scriptures and living prophets regarding
secret combinations operating in our own
day in our own country at this very moment:

Some fantastic quotes here...and all from members of the First Presidency and the Twelve.

When I re-read this one from Pres. Hinckley, spoken just after 9/11, it is clear he wasn't talking about a man supposedly living in a cave in Afghanistan!
“It is the terrorist organizations that must be ferreted out and brought down. We of this Church know something of such groups. The Book of Mormon speaks of the Gadianton robbers, a vicious, oath-bound, and secret organization bent on evil and destruction. In their day they did all in their power, by whatever means available, to bring down the Church, to woo the people with sophistry, and to take control of the society. We see the same thing in the present situation.” (Gordon B. Hinckley, General Conference, October, 2001)
They sought to:

1. Bring down the church.
2. Woo the people with sophistry.
3. Take control of society.

Can those three things be applied to Bin Laden, Al Qaeda or the Taliban? No!

I believe Pres. Hinckley was speaking about the Government or elements within the Government as a 'terrorist organization'! I believe he was fully awake to our awful situation! :?

Those were great Sharon! I had read the second link previously, as well as the excellent PDF linked at the end of that article. The first linked article is powerful stuff also! Thanks!

I really liked the one he did at the beginning with pictures. It was pretty long, but it was a very powerful read.

Thanks for sharing!

Great articles. But they are just talk. After the Founding Fathers wrote those words they had to act or die. I have been hearing those same words since I was 8.

People do not want to take the risks the Founders did and until they are willing to take such risks nothing will change except for the worst.

As Benson said: It may be too late to save liberty. That was in the 60s. I think we are toast and look forward to the blood.

Wiik-
That's really apalling.
Alma 48:15-17 says
"And this was their faith, that by so doing God would prosper them in the land, or in other words, if they were faithful in keeping the commandments of God that he would prosper them in the land; yea, warn them to flee, or to prepare for war, according to their danger;
And also, that God would make it known unto them whither they should go to defend themselves against their enemies, and by so doing, the Lord would deliver them; and this was the faith of Moroni, and his heart did glory in it; not in the shedding of blood but in doing good, in preserving his people, yea, in keeping the commandments of God, yea, and resisting iniquity.
Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men."

I look forward to Adam-ondi-ahman, helping build the physical Zion, and the Lord's kingdom, and the thousand years of peace- and know that we may need to go through bloodshed BUT we will be on the 'defending' side, not the side that is looking FORWARD to blood. I believe we will be told to flee or prepare for war when it comes to that. But that is not yet. Apparently the country still has a chance or two to prove who they will follow.

One thing is for sure: There will be a cleansing...

God continues to give us chances to repent.. perhaps that's the only reason this cleansing hasn't already begun.

It may not, but not all of the righteous will be spared. Just live each day prepared to meet our Saviour.

I am in a castle and always under siege. I go out to help other but their forces just grow around my castle. I MUST wait for them to attack because I am only allowed to defend.

You may not be looking forward to the blood but I am. I am tired of watching my freedoms stolen from me by Mormons that support George Bush and Dick Chenney and John Ensign and Mitt Romney. I must wait for them to violently attack. I am tired of being in the castle under siege. Perhaps you have not been under siege. Perhaps you allow yourself the many comforts that Socialism (Gadianton robberism) allow for so that your siege is not so harsh. Perhaps the world is nice enough and you have a nice secure roof over your head and plenty of food and good job and the enemy is not constantly at your door.

But when you have been in the castle and under siege you want to battle to being. I don't really care if it is my blood that is spilt. But I am tired of the siege.

If you're waiting for the Mormons that support George
Bush, Dick Cheney, etc. to "violently attack" you, then
you are waiting in vain, for when the "poop hits the
propeller," so to speak, they will be too busy defending
their own castles to bother with yours. You're gonna
have to look elsewhere for blood to spill, Brother.
Sorry...

Nicely put, Wiik. I'm not looking forward to the blood, not because I fear for myself, but I have loved ones that are not ready. But I see where you are coming from.

Heavens no. They are too apathetic to even choose sides. They will be the ones boarding the trains for the Camps singing Come Come Ye Saints.

Have you seen Red Dawn? They will be like the Mayor of the town, praising themselves for being subjects to their NEW rulers and totally obedient. After all they will only be replacing their old masters for some new ones.

I hope you can get out of Mississippi before the Gulf implodes on your guys.

My family is from Mississippi. Two of my Grandfathers died fighting for Mississippi.

Thanks for giving me a smile, Wiik. You have the
nicest way of disagreeing, and I like that!

Thanks for suggesting "Red Dawn." I'll add it to
my Netflix movie queue.

Where did/does your family live in Mississippi?
If you don't want to say publicly, feel free to
send me a PM. I'd enjoy hearing from you!

Please tell the rest of the board that I have a the nicest way of disagreeing with people. They will all be very surprided to learn that.

I don't remember right off the top of my head. The city they lived near was never of much interest to me. I should probably check that out. The four brothers fighting for the North and four brothers fighting for the South of my GGGGrandfather did.

We Started in South Carolina with Christopher Hollyman in the 1650s. The family spread out to Boonesboro, Tennessee and other southern States. The Civil War wiped many of us out literally and/or financially. My GGGG and GGGrandfather died while in service of the South. My GGGF had an Aunt that owned over 1000 slaves.

My Great Grandfather, after the war, was as poor as you could get. My Great Grandmother faced of 100 KKKers, with her double barreled shot gun, that were going to kill the missionaries in her home. She was not even LDS yet. One of the two was murdered just a few days later. She knew the Church was right for her from just one of the little article of faith cards, as I recall. My Grandfather moved to Iowa and became a railroad engineer. My Grandmother got off the train straight from the boat from Scotland (got some of them traced back to 1064AD) and he told his friend he was going to marry that girl. He did.

The more I study that Civil war the more I know that I would have gone West.

I understand that are remaking Red Dawn. I want to see the new version. The first version shows how most Americans will act if we were suddenly taken over. They will turn over their friends and family to keep from being shot. I honestly feel that most Bush and Chenney Supporter Mormons would get right on the trains if a Mitt Romney Republican was telling them it was necessary. And who really cares about any Mormon that would support a Democrat?

Fascists/Marxist/Socialists Oh My; Fascists/Marxist/Socialists Oh My, Fascists/Marxist/Socialists Oh My.

Follow the Yellow brick Road. Follow the 12th Article of Faith. Get on the trains; get on the trains because we are subject to magistrates. Do ba dee Do ba dee Do. Whatever oh ever the brains we had are worthless now and we are glad. Just tell us what to do and we'll obey. Because we are such happy slaves. Do ba dee Do ba dee Do. Were off to the internment camps cause we cannot think for ourselves.
