(it's close to the chemical depot @ Dugway Proving Ground)
Yeah I think we are 18 miles as the crow flies with a mountain range in between us and you are approximately 25 miles with a mountain range in between from the chemical depot. As for Dugway we are 28 and you are about 43 with us having one mountain range and you two. Chemicals dissipate so fast that in order for someone to be affected by it they have to be very near the source. Two of my neighbors are scientists that work at Dugway and they laugh at the fear so many have of living out here. They have their families living right down the street. My other neighbor is the Bishop and he does the air quality testing for Dugway.
When we first moved here, my family who lives near Hill Air Force base warned me of the chemicals. I will take the risk of chemicals over living near a nuclear target like HAB anyday.

One of the downfalls near the Jordan River area is the type of land the houses are built upon. The prediction is for some in the river basin area to sink if a large earthquake occurs because of the liquidation effect. The east bench will be hit the most severe because of the fault line.

Wherever you live just keep the commandments and have a strong testimony. Be obedient to promptings from the spirit and priesthood leadership and you'll do just fine wherever you live (even if you die!).
