Immigration by the Federal Gov....Unconstitutional?

I need some help. Living in AZ we get blasted with all kinds of things about our immigration bill, but the newest one that has come up is that Federal Control of Immigration is Unconstitutional and that it should be left up to the States to decide who can come in and who cannot. That the 1875 Supreme Court Ruling was Unconstitutional.
To me this is absurd! It seems that it would cause more chaos than uniformity, but can someone please tell me what your take on this is?

U.S. Constitution, Article IV, Section 4 states that "The United States shall...protect each of them (each of the states) against Invasion;"
To me that means the FedGov is responsible to stop illegal immigration, which is, especially here and now in Arizona, an invasion.
