The thread implies one should "get out". Many live along the Wasatch front because that's where they're supposed to be

. I wanted to get out of Dodge a few yrs back but I know for a fact I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. No need to
"get out" without sending up "red flags" for me or for many others on this site. I live in Utah with my pedigreed Mormon family line. Anyone want to mock that (or has it already been done

) ?

I've heard it said from a '
pioneer stock' bishop's wife,
"The Millennium will be like a thousand-year Sacrament Meeting."
No contest; It's ALL yours!
I'm happy where I am, too.

So when the High Councilmen speak we are getting a taste of the Millenium? Or Fast Sunday when we are on the late schedule?

The point: Gather with the (flawed) elect. Stand in Holy Places. Get Out Of Dodge--Spiritually. Prepare physically as well.
I wonder how many Mormons would have gathered together with the non-LDS Founding Fathers in fellowship just because they would not consider them elect?
Oh, BTW, there are only six non-LDS Founding Fathers. Wilford Woodruff was instrumental in getting fifty of them baptized into the church according to this statement, if there were fifty-six signers, that is :
"I will here say, before closing, that two weeks before I left St. George, the spirits of the dead gathered around me, wanting to know why we did not redeem them. Said they, `You have had the use of the Endowment House for a number of years, and yet nothing has ever been done for us. We laid the foundation of the government you now enjoy, and we never apostatized from it, but we remained true to it and were faithful to God'
"These were the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and they waited on me for two days and two nights. I thought it very singular, that notwithstanding so much work had been done, and yet nothing had been done for them. The thought never entered my heart, from the fact, I suppose, that heretofore our minds were reaching after our more immediate friends and relatives."I straightway went into the baptismal font and called upon Brother McCallister to baptize me for the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and fifty other eminent men, making one hundred in all, including John Wesley, Columbus, and others. I then baptized him for every President of the United State, except three . . .." - Elder Wilford Woodruff, in a discourse given Sept. 16, 1877, in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. (Journal of Discourses, 19:230.)

The poor deacons!
Obviously that's a bit of false doctrine, so what?? Should I share some false polygamy doctrine I heard from some convert mormons outside of Utah? Everybody is going to be married to everybody!
No contest; It's ALL yours!
What's your point?

Take me in my sleep, which would be more likely in the latter

Nah! We aren't important enough to 'send up red flags' regardless where we are or where we go.
Anyway, we 'got out' 12 years ago. Our nearest neighbor is 1 1/2 mile directly across the valley with a sizable creek in between or 4 1/2 miles by road to the same neighbor. I don't know where the nearest FEMA camp is, but we
are in the very same FEMA Region as Utah, so I guess we might still find ourselves in the same Ward.
