I believe that is the cutest expression I've heard in a long, long time. Long time no see serenity :D

Hi Smallfarm! It is so great to hear from you!

LOL... Well, I have to admit that I couldn't use the regular meaning of SHTF, so a bunch of smurfs flying just felt better.

What happens to the LDS who has their food storage in an area where there aren't other members? Let's say the people are silently thinking they'll hit the house if bad times come. Obviously the Lord knows what will happen and when. He prepares his people in advance. At least those that are listening and acting. I could envision a call-out happening before things get terribly bad. That way, the people will be out of harms way, if they so choose to leave, before people come with their weapons. In this way, those that have been obedient in preparation, will be guided out BEFORE others see the need to break-in. Lehi's family was led out before Jerusalem was destroyed. I can see something similar to this happening. Only time will tell.
Right -- and Lehi was "called out" directly by the Lord, not by the Prophet to the people at the time which was Jeremiah.

IOW, the call-out could come as a "general" call-out from the Prophet, or could come (is coming) to individual families through the family heads.

And I happen to know several families who are leaving or have left Utah even, mostly wasatch front, for the country or the mountains, or a different state. A few are talking about leaving the country... I always encourage folks to approach such a decision prayerfully as Lehi did, and to make sure they are working through proper channels. (Revelation comes to the living father/patriarch for his family, not for others' stewardships, etc.)

If these gangs come to my current house, they won't find much food -- you can count on that. Also, we do help ( and will defend) each other in this rural town. We are armed to the teeth and do not hide this fact.

The problem may be that FEMA will come to get "hoarded food" -- this could be a problem we need to think more about. During martial law and starvation, expect the guv-mint to come to Utah towns to get food to "share"...
