Hi there,

Just joined the forum. We are based in Middle East after having lived in Italy and UK. I am a convert to the Church (baptized 1995) and never looked back. The Gospel is absolutely fantastic and really opens your mind and allows you to really awaken that giant within.

My wife and I have been studying the subject of natural health for over 10 years now with my wife becoming a Nutritional Herbologist and curing herself from some pretty nasty illnesses (such as cancer, arthiritis and more). We are now vegan raw foodists and bringing our 4 kids up this way. So far our kids have NEVER seen a doctor and our oldest is 9 yrs-old. We have recently launched our website www.energizedforever.com dedicated to helping families become healthier, wealthier and happier. Go and have a look and we'd love to hear from you.

Kind Regards,

Fabrizio & Silvia

Hi, glad you could join us. I am learning more and more about natural living and am trying to implement the principles I can within the constraints of time, money, and my husband, who's tolerant of most of my oddities (sadly natural living is an oddity these days.) I recently was referred to some books by Dr. Christopher (I think) but was put off by the raw vegan diet. It seems a bit extreme and impracticable, especially with kids. However, I've been known to be wrong, so I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing a bit more about it.

One specific question I have is about nutrients. I'd heard that a vegan diet doesn't have all the necessary nutrients we need to survive. The vitamin I know of specifically is B12 which occurs in plants, but is said to be inaccessible to humans in plant form. I don't believe everything I read, so I'd be interesting in the opposite point of view on this subject.

Something I don't need convincing on is becoming a nutritional herbologist. I've decided to take this course in my own life. I've just barely come to this decision, helped along by woefully inadequate doctors. I'd like to provide for most or all my family's health needs but still feel the urge to call the doc when my kids are miserable. Maybe you could point me in the right direction.
