You Are Being Warned! Freezing Temps Worldwide May Lead To Food Shortages

They have messed with the gulf stream and we are in big trouble because of it, also there is a book called "Not BY FIRE BUT BY ICE" which explains why, according to one man's opinion, but it makes a lot of sense scientifically !

We got a few inches, but it was so COLD that both of my truck doors were frozen shut - took over half an hour to work one of them open this morning! And tomorrow is supposed to be worse with the high only 18 degrees! YUCK!

Wow, that was... underwhelming. I guess I should lower my standards.

Re: Another freak major storm headed for Utah
Well, we are getting the 'blizzard' today! I heard Interstate 94 was closed between Jamestown, ND & Fargo.
Here, it is a 'white out', but still not terribly cold. It's +9 F.
Tomorrow our high is predicted to be 0 F. ZERO. It has actually been a pretty mild winter as far as temperatures are concerned. One of our first winters saw the entire month of December temperatures below 0 F.
Around here, 22 F. - without wind - means you do everything you need to do outside without a coat - just a sweater and a hat (sometimes not even a hat). I guess it's all relative.

We have a lake effect snow warning for Utah County for tonight through tomorrow morning - 3-6" of new snow predicted... I don't think I've ever seen an actual lake effect snow warning before... weird...

Re: Another freak major storm headed for Utah
I just got off the phone with friend in Northern Idaho.
He said that since early this morning the snow has
been nearly waist high and is still falling.
The temperature is dropping below zero and the north
wind is increasing. His wife has done nothing but look
through the kitchen window. He says that if it gets much
worse, he may have to let her in.
