I actually find it really interesting that after ETB spoke out about communism, was when they went underground and pretended to be liberal and westernized while never giving up any of their original intentions. And they have gotten control of almost every government on earth. No wonder the Lord doesn't want church leaders calling out names or parties or political or economic systems. It is way too late for that.blitzinstripes wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 6:36 pmAll of their statements are blatantly generic and lack any real substance. But when was the last time that the GA's actually spoke in detail about last days prophecy and preparing or the collapse? It fell out of vogue with the corporate church and it's Babylonian cronies in the 1990s. Now the Q15 tell us to beware of such things and label them as conspiracies. It's clear they don't actually believe the Book of Mormon. You know we've come full circle when the fringe groups and even non Mormons put more faith in the BoM than the mainstream LDS do.

With civil authorities? Yes. In the Book of Mormon we read of the people having certain rights protected, to believe what you want to believe without persecution, whether in the church or without.

So, like I said, the Church and its "leaders" are just followers, and follow the government lead, right?

This video Marc posted is super important. It's revelatory to me. I hope everyone will watch it. It takes a half hour.
It gives the framework for a Zion community - people must live by the spirit, FIRST. Without people committed to doing that, things like smothering policy handbooks take hold and the cart gets in front of the horse, guaranteeing failure.
Zion must be directed by the Spirit, on individual bases, with each person placing the first thing first. Only this way can God turn His people on a dime, as may be necessary. Individual inspiration and initiative must be first.
John 3
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Re: The Coming Reset and Opportunity
What makes you think it is to late for that? When did JTB stop calling out the Pharisees? When did Abinadi stop calling out the wickedness of King Noah and his priests? I keep hearing this garbage about 'too late'. I've recently heard some members state that the reason the Q15 don't talk about food storage anymore is because it's too late. That's BS. What does that say about new converts who might be hearing these messages for the very first time? Remember the parable of the laborers in the vineyard. They were all paid equally where they had labored all day or only 'hired on' in the late afternoon. This nonsense that now they are only preaching love and charity because it's too late to preach repentance and call out wickedness is utterly false doctrine. And it's a cop out. A weak excuse made to justify weak men who simply do not measure up to their supposed high and holy callings. If a prophet will not cry repentance and condemn wickedness in all its forms, they are of no worth.Sarah wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 8:03 pmI actually find it really interesting that after ETB spoke out about communism, was when they went underground and pretended to be liberal and westernized while never giving up any of their original intentions. Re: The Coming Reset and Opportunity
Nelson preaches tolerance for wickedness. That's not repentance. Let him stand at the pulpit without mincing his words and openly condemn abortion, homosexuality and same sex marriage for starters. Then let him talk about the dangers that liberalism and Marxism in all its forms pose to our freedom. Let him talk about secret combinations that the BoM warned us about. And not label that as conspiracy theories like Oaks recently did. Let them talk in detail about exactly what/ how we should be temporally preparing for the tribulation to come. Instead he seems hell bent on taking the church in an entirely different direction than his predecessors who actually did preach these things. Is he wrong, or were his predecessors wrong? Either answer is a conundrum because it clearly shows that someone is/ was leading the church astray. But the blind Members will just resort to circular reasoning and deny the evidence because their testimony is built upon prophet worship and not Christ, the Rock.Sarah wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 7:15 pmIs every prophet required to tell something new? What would you like that he hasn't given you?blitzinstripes wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 6:43 pmYes. Moroni also said that. And Joseph Smith. Tell me again, what new revelation Nelson has brought to the table. How are we better prepared by following him versus studying the scriptures? Tank top garments? Or maybe reversing Monson's use of the term "Mormons"? Amazing stuff, right there. Continuing restoration no doubt!President Nelson just told us, now is the time to prepare for the second coming.

Impossible. The profit can never lead the church astray. Mistakes of that magnitude would constitute leading the church astray.Sarah wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 7:01 pmOur church leaders inherited the mistakes made by leaders and saints of old, and the present reality of saints living amist and in Babylon, circumstances that would make it impossible to have all the saints have all things common living the laws of stewardship. A group of saints would need to completely cut themselves off from the outside world, which is what Brigham Young was thinking of doing, taking a group of saints that he trusted into the mountains to have all things common. No matter the mistakes and circumstances, it's still the Lord's church and he's using us to bring people into the covenant family of God. Zion is built upon celestial law, and we live in a telestial world.blitzinstripes wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 6:50 pmThe modern corporate church has discarded much of what Joseph taught including the literal gathering of Israel and building of Zion. Now it's all watered down stuff. 'Spiritual' gathering only. Stay home, build up your own stakes. (But send your kids to BYU to get married and keep sending those checks every week.)mudflap wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 6:39 pm
fixed it for ya.... But seriously: RMN has set the tone for the past 20 years:
notice anything? Read the whole talk: he never once says the word "literal", which is the key word in the 10th article of faith. Notice he doesn't even mention the 10th article of faith! How can you give a talk about "the gathering of Israel" without mentioning the article of faith that is all about it? In RMN's world, the gathering of Israel is strictly a spiritual endeavor, not a physical one. Much safer (and cheaper) to set up a spiritual kingdom of God rather than having to commit to actual physical preparation and physical gathering like what JS was trying to do.
so no: the current church is not teaching about zion or the gathering of israel or whatever. Talking about Zion is on the decline as well:
-------
My thoughts on the article - if only that guy knew the visions of Ether & JS! .
I tend to agree though: Mormons are daily rejecting their birthright to help the remnant of Joseph physically establish Zion by staying enslaved by debt, supporting the Babylon banksters by going along with the systems of babylon - BigAg, BigPharma, BigGov, BigWar, BigTech.
Joseph's last dream makes perfect sense now, seeing what the church has become. I can see why he walked away and let the thieves have their way with it.

Is it still the Lord's church? Of course that statement is often recited amongst the cult when they're trying to reassure themselves or deny what's happening in front of them. Might want to re-read some verses about salt losing it's savor.

I am getting near the end. Quite good.tmac wrote: ↑October 29th, 2024, 9:02 am This is a fairly long piece, written by A.Z. Adams, one of the leaders of Homestead Heritage, and Heritage Ministries, that I have talked about before. Although it is a long read, it really resonates with me, and I am always left scratching my head about why LDS leaders can't understand and say things like this. It is a clear indication to me that their fruits betray them.
https://azadams.com/the-coming-reset-and-opportunity/
If anyone else can be bothered to take the time to read it, I will be interested in their thoughts.
As it referred to creating a nation that will be subject to and within another nation, but with a degree of autonomy, I could not help but think of the nations of the native American people, and what I believe Chief Midegah is trying to establish.
I am not "all in" with Midegah, but I do believe there is potential in him and that movement.

Honestly, that was a fascinating read. I feel very similar to much of what he's saying and I believe him to be correct on much of it. I can't think of anything I feel him to be completely off base on at all. Thank you for sharing it. The hope he expresses is really what motivates me to continue to trudge through this craziness now.

I had what could be called a vision or perhaps more like what Carl Jung called "active imagination" (maybe they are flavors of the same thing.) At any rate this was maybe 7 years ago, I don't remember what I was studying but I was pondering how Zion would come about.
The image I saw was as if I could see "a land" and it could have been representative of just a city, or a state, a nation, or even all of mankind.
It was night, and within this land, I began to see thin bluer beams of light, like lasers, but not so intense. I understood these to be individuals and families that were connecting with the powers of heaven.
I did not see it happen, but I was left with the impression that in due time, those lights would be gathered together into one body. I got the strong impression that this would not be a callout over the pulpit. This idea that one day we would go to church and be told to bring our supplies to the church and those that were prepared would then depart for tent cities, I got the impression this was an incorrect idea, that the callout would only be to those that had made this connection, that there would not be even a message going out any other way (like through the internet or a phone tree) that ONLY those that were close enough to receive and faithful enough to heed the spiritual call would know where to go and when to go.
One outcome of this is everyone there would KNOW that everyone else there had the connection. No one would ask each other "Know ye the Lord?" for all would know Him. That the duties of each person there would be directed by the Lord - yes there MIGHT be a hierarchy (I am not sure on that) but again, if there was, each would understand and learn to bring their offering to the community, and do the tasks needed.

seems Amos, Jeremiah and others barely warned the people (king and friends) before it was too late. Never early enough to avoid the catastrophe.........Sarah wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 7:44 pmReal prophets tend to identify Babylon as sin and wickedness, and speak out about those things. Regardless of the unpopularity of it, I have a hard time imagining that, at a minimum, God would not have them pushing-back against the World -- much like A.Z. Adams does in the blog post linked in the OP of this thread.. Of the real prophets that I've ever been aware of (in the scriptures), they called Babylon for what it was -- instead of pandering and going awhoring with Babylon.
But just as a pretty simple measuring stick, what is one of the single biggest themes of the BoM? Secret Combinations? Do they exist today? When was the last time these guys talked about that? Why?

Finished the article and admit it’s hard to read Christian writings without all the Mormon dogma getting in the way. I liked it very much, though the collapse of Babylon may indeed be terrifying. He thinks it’s started already.
After watching the video I thought about the failed attempt at Zion by the Saints of the 1830s. Unlike the video, Joseph Smith taught the “common purse” theme: everyone chip everything in the common pot and let the bishop administer. Contrast this with the Zion community in 4 Nephi, who did this successfully. Why did they succeed and the 1830s Saints spectacularly fail? Likely they didn’t have the Spirit, or live by it (or most of them) while the people of 4 Nephi did. How could they not, after what the experienced with the resurrected Christ?

The Mennonites near me use their families' wealth to branch out and expand their ministries. They'll go to a new area and buy land and set up businesses, with maybe four families at a time. It's really cool, to me, because there is no centralized human control. They go where the Spirit directs them and they take their means with them. No coercion, but free will. No heads of institutions to get frustrated with. They administer from their familial purses for the big moves, but collect offerings for special projects. Most of these people have extended family members living all over the world in such ministries. Many have also spent years abroad in places like South America, Eastern Europe, and Africa.
One of the men there told me that the Mennonite system is so far out of societal norms that it takes two other churches for people to get there.

All of their statements are blatantly generic and lack any real substance. Gone are the days of ETB when leaders weren't afraid to speak in plain terms and address things such as political corruption. I thought prophets were supposed to boldly cry repentance, unafraid like Samuel and Jeremiah, or JTB. Its as if they're completely afraid of offending anyone or drawing the ire of their masters. Nelson gives a lukewarm, generic talk about preparing for the second coming but gives no real revelatory advice on what specifically is coming and how to prepare for it. Yes it is never too late to repent. And it is possible that like Abinadi they could be sent to warn certain individuals. Jesus usually only warned against the Pharisees when they were playing offense against him, and he never taught the people to rebel against Rome. But what I said was that I believed it was too late to warn others against individuals, political parties, political theories etc. Why? Because they have gotten ahold of every government in the world and are operating under lies and pretense. They are pretending to be good, to the point that most conservatives have been tricked into thinking the head of the communist snake Putin is actually fighting the snake.
Our leaders do talk about temporal preparedness, but having a fevered pitch year after year would probably bring about unwanted consequences. In reading Mormon 3 this week, I was impressed with these verses:
1 And it came to pass that the Lamanites did not come to battle again until ten years more had passed away. And behold, I had employed my people, the Nephites, in preparing their lands and their arms against the time of battle.
2 And it came to pass that the Lord did say unto me: Cry unto this people—Repent ye, and come unto me, and be ye baptized, and build up again my church, and ye shall be spared.
3 And I did cry unto this people, but it was in vain; and they did not realize that it was the Lord that had spared them, and granted unto them a chance for repentance. And behold they did harden their hearts against the Lord their God.
So the people were preparing, but they needed to repent and build up the church to be spared.

Maybe you missed my earlier post. I specifically said he can start with open condemnation of abortion, homosexuality and same sex marriage. He minces his words and refuses to call a spade a spade. He is careful to send muddy messages so that the LGBTQ crowd can interpret his words as fluffy and comfortable. Go ahead and declare what God has told us about sexual sin. How grievous it is. Go ahead and openly take a pro life stance and condemn the murder of infants in all its forms. If RUSTY was doing HIS job, that bleeding heart liberal Babylonian PR guy they hired last year would resign immediately. And while he's at it, demand that all of our clergy report sexual predators IMMEDIATELY to local law enforcement. Immediately end the practice of Kirton McConkie protecting monsters who prey upon children. And no you cannot deny it, because I've seen it first hand play out in my own ward and stakes.Sarah wrote: ↑October 31st, 2024, 2:42 pmFirst of all, our church leaders do cry repentance and call out wickedness. Which sins would you like them to call out that they are not calling out?blitzinstripes wrote: ↑October 31st, 2024, 5:36 amWhat makes you think it is to late for that? If a prophet will not cry repentance and condemn wickedness in all its forms, they are of no worth.Sarah wrote: ↑October 30th, 2024, 8:03 pm
It is way too late for that.
If he does ANY of those things, I'll retract my words.
And thats just the tip of the iceberg of what I would/ SHOULD expect he mouthpiece of God to do.

He could also say:
1. Beware of the Adversary, which is a massive Secret Combination, with Satan at its head, and includes all of his spiritual and physical minions, which are alive and well in our world today, and are seeking to destroy you and your families in every possible way.
2. Repent of your worldliness and materialism, and separate yourselves from the world, including all your digital devices and social media.
3. Start reproducing and partnering with God in procreation.
4. Take your children out of the public school system, which is the single biggest tool of the Adversary.
5. Avoid debt and live within your means.
6. Work, produce, and live as self-sufficiently as possible.
7. Seek to be baptized by fire and the Spirit, to live in the Spirit, and become one with God,
That's just for starters.

Re: The Coming Reset and Opportunity
They have been preaching most of these things, at least the principles and commandments, which is what prophets are told by the Lord to preach. I don't recall Jesus ever teaching that parents are not to let anyone else teach their kids. Just read all their talks over the last few years and you'll see them touching on all these topics. Sounds like you all want the type of prophet who dictates in all temporal matters. Joseph said that he taught the principles and let people govern themselves.tmac wrote: ↑October 31st, 2024, 6:25 pm He could also say:

They have spoken out numerous times against abortion, breaking the law of chastity and same sex marriage, by teaching the truths, that sex is only between a man and woman who are married.blitzinstripes wrote: ↑October 31st, 2024, 5:21 pmMaybe you missed my earlier post.
