Yessss! I couldn't agree more, good sir. I also very much adore all those that you've named. Although I'm not as educated in there teachings as I should be. I've been listening to Steiner talks lately. He's a quite hard for me to grasp at times. Thus showing how ignorant I am. Oh and Madam Blavasky. I adore her, but likewise still have so much to read. Are there any particular works of there's you would recommend besides the common well known works?

Blavatsky the only exposure that I have had is "The Secret Doctrine" so if you know who Blavatsky is, I am sure you are familiar.
Manly P Hall I have listened to dozens if not hundreds of hours of his lectures on YouTube. I would say his stuff ranges from pretty good to mind blowing. I remember specifically a lecture on magic powers and why we should not use them. Some excellent cautions in that lecture that any would-be magician should consider long and hard. I would recommend just scouring YouTube and listening to titles that draw your attention, he is absolutely the most well-read lecturer on esoterica of the 20th century. He has a book on secret societies that he wrote as a pretty young man - I don't recall the title, but he definitely did his homework. Initiates of the Flame is very good. I simply don't think you can go wrong reading his work with a discerning spirit. He is an unapologetic occultist, but so few understand what occult means and how and why a good Christian should study the occult. MPH himself sprinkles his lectures with respect and I would say worship of Jesus Christ in his lectures, and really brings out the principles of eternity that I believe the vast majority of the pious simply miss.

Rudolph Steiner, most that I know of him are from videos that have been posted here. He is definitely interesting and I don't even know how to describe his work, There is vast amounts of his stuff that lands very well for me, and I would say he tries to approach his subjects with a more orthodox Christian lens but lots of nice insights.

This also reminds me of Emanuel Swedenborg. I had heard of him for years and just wasn't interested - it seemed there was a lot of zealotry among the modern followers that kind of turned me off. As I have actually studied a bit of his stuff, he seems to be a fascinating character with a lot to offer, but I am still at supper introductory level.

I believe you are referring to Hall's Magnum Opus titled Secret Teachings of All Ages. I am acquainted with him as well. He did a great service to mankind. Some believe he was murdered for his income.

I haven't read much of Swedenborg but shall in do time. Other great prophets or writers I would recommend are.

William Blake. James Joyce. And Carl Jung works. Robert Anton Wilson was also brilliant.

Concerning my beliefs. I look at Christianity and most all religions are equal. I view them through a spiritual symbolic as well as jungian lens. I consider all prophetic text to be small pieces of a much great whole. To which we as mortals have the privilege to solve.

Love Jung also. I managed to check out a copy of The Red Book from the library, the full sized version with all the fine illustrations. Been studying it for about 6 weeks, my library is kind enough to "auto-extend" the check out until someone actually requests it, so I might have it for a while - I hope!

A truly wise man you are. I have yet to read the Red Book but have listened to a few of his lectures. And I'm also acquaint through a video game called the Persona series. Once I can get them I plan to study the Black Books. Which are the unabridged visions or dreams which were later compiled into the Red book.

What are some of the things you've enjoyed in the Book? Would you say there is anything that can be applied to Joseph smith or the Book of Mormon, or Mormon theology in general? If not that's okay to.

Highly recommend this video series on the Red Book. Excellent visuals. The producer is an OK narrator, it is probably the weakest aspect of his series, but all things considered he did a really great job on this video series.

Reluctant Watchman is very good, he leans a little bit anti_LDS, but generally finds a good balance of promoting correct principles (in my opinion) but calls out the LDS for their many failings. Which is all well and good, but I feel there should be caution that it becomes too big of a focus in our lives.
Thinker, Cruiserdude, smallfarm, and many others who I apologize for not listing because I am old and forget user names - but there is a core of some very sharp and also kind people that I suspect you will get on well with. (adding tmac, niemand, ajax, and infowarrior, there are MANY others)
There is another group that I will not name names, but they seriously spend too much time focusing on groups that they don't like in MY opinion. Everyone has to choose their path, and I even agree with a lot of them that certain lifestyles are not helpful to society, BUT I respect peoples' right to live their own lives and learn by experience to know good from evil (or optimal vs. sub-optimal if that sits better with you.)
And of course the fair number that in my opinion cling tightly to false traditions and feel like the rest of us are on the path to hell...

It is not my intention to flatter. When I say such things I do mean them. Nevertheless I do not think of myself as kind. I am being pleasant on this forum. For I don't desire to get banned. Wherefore the reality of the matter is that I'm a rather frank and sometimes awfully mean individual. Especially when it comes to the stupidity of humanity. And their hypocrisy. So many of them are full of spiritual blindness, and misrepresent mine and others peoples opinions. They go about claiming they only desire truth, yet are only able to go so far before they reject the very thing they claim to desire. Despite my strangle beliefs, I was once a most very dedicated Mormon. I told God I desired truth above all. And slowly he has and continues to brake and rip apart all that I once believed. All I know for certain is that I know nothing at all. I am not afraid of the truth I'll go to hell or to heaven to get it.
