The Dream VCR
At long last, someone invents "the dream VCR." This machine allows you to tape an entire evening's worth of your own dreams, which you can then watch at your leisure.
However, the inventor of the dream VCR will only allow you to use this device if you agree to a strange caveat: When you watch your dreams, you must do so with your family and your closest friends in the same room. They get to watch your dreams along with you. And if you don't agree to this, you can't use the dream VCR.
Would you still do this?

Re: The Dream VCR
of course not.
Your dreams are for you and you alone.
Some you may like to share with others,
but they're really only meant for you * - and for you to interpret; (because it's your life and only you know)
* unless of course the spirit has told you to tell others about your dream.

Re: The Dream VCR
Nope. My dreams are way too weird. Plus many times they include nakedness and toilets. I wouldn’t really even want to watch those ones myself, let alone let others watch them!

Re: The Dream VCR
Lol! So are mine, of course, but I suspect it's the same with everyone.
If I were curious enough to want to see my own dreams, I think I would only agree to do this if everyone else in the group did as well. Not that I really care about other people's dreams, but at least that way we would all be on equal footing after the experience. Maybe it would even be therapeutic to see that everyone dreams of similarly weird stuff.
But I don't think I'm curious enough about my own dreams to go through with it. I think it would ultimately make things too weird between everyone.

There is a movie with Robin Williams in it where parents can have a recording device put into their babies and it records their entire life. Even their dreams!
Then a guy has a job of watching their whole life and making clips to show at the funeral. That’s how I remember it.

The Final Cut! I've never seen it, and I think every time I've heard about it before I confused it with another Robin Williams psychological thriller from about the same time, One Hour Photo. I wasn't interested in One Hour Photo but The Final Cut looks interesting!Wolfwoman wrote: ↑October 3rd, 2023, 3:15 pm There is a movie with Robin Williams in it where parents can have a recording device put into their babies and it records their entire life.
