Vatican tells Bishops to quit criticizing the Pope

“The Vatican has demanded bishops and prominent lay Catholic figures moderate their criticisms of Pope Francis and the wider church leadership on social media, expressing concern that they are causing division and ultimately harming its reputation.
“The appeal was part of a 20-page document from the Vatican’s communications department entitled “Towards Full Presence. A Pastoral Reflection on Engagement with Social Media.””

I never liked the vatican. Esp after they killed Lincoln using Jesuit agents and agent provocateurs.

The title should read:
Vatican demands clergy stop following the Word of God as found in the holy scriptures.

“Salt Lake has demanded bishops and prominent lay members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints moderate their criticisms of President Russell M Nelson and the wider church leadership on social media, expressing concern that they are causing division and ultimately harming its reputation."

This sounds so familiar. Maybe Ahmad Corbitt helped them draft this article- you know- no Christian should attempt to be an activist against hypocrisy and sin among the paid leadership.

The Catholic version of when the Prophet speaks the thinking has been done. The difference will be that Catholic Bishops will ignore the Vatican.

my mind went to this possible future as well but... even in the event of a mass rebellion against the Q15, i would guess that the church would simply scramble to cover it all up as best as they can and quickly install bishops that are good global citizens.Ebenezer wrote: ↑May 30th, 2023, 4:14 pm “Salt Lake has demanded bishops and prominent lay members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints moderate their criticisms of President Russell M Nelson and the wider church leadership on social media, expressing concern that they are causing division and ultimately harming its reputation."
the LDS leadership is the most secretive that exists. They keep everything under wraps unless publicly forced to come up with a 'lipstick on a pig' excuse. They will NEVER admit nor even indicate their weakness or the weakness of the church organization.

They got this rule in place a long time ago, without ever even announcing it or putting it in writing.

Our Mormon culture instills an "all or nothing" mindset in it's members from birth. They quickly learn that any questioning results in negative consequences. "Church Broke". If we do have any questioning leaders, they are quickly released.
"If you get a testimony of Jesus Christ, the Bible, Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, then that automatically means you have a testimony of all church policies, teachings, and leaders as infallible. And if our church policies, teachings, and leaders are not infallible, then that must mean that Jesus Christ, the Bible, Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith are not true."

They wouldn't be criticizing the pope if he were doing and acting like a pope should...instead of his leading the church astray with his Marxist communist evil teachings and views.Christianlee wrote: ↑May 30th, 2023, 2:39 pm https://redstate.com/benkew/2023/05/30/ ... ia-n753516

The Vatican has been sayng this for over 1500 years. Which is why we had the Protestant Reformation and the Orthodox Schisms.
