Study: Devoted Leftists Often Are Narcissists and Psychopaths - The New American
In fact, a new study informs, Stalin has much psychopathic (and narcissistic) company among leftists, including among today’s variety. Moreover, the researchers found that authoritarian-minded left-wingers often don’t care a whit about the altruism and “social justice” they trumpet, but instead “use political activism to endorse or exercise violence against others to satisfy their own ego-focused needs.”
The study authors, Ann Krispenz, a postdoctoral associate; and Alex Bertrams, the head of the Educational Psychology Lab at the University of Bern, published their research in March in the journal Current Psychology. The phenomenon they studied is called “left-wing authoritarianism” (LWA), and they related its indicators

Montana, Tennessee Legally Define Male and Female - The New American
But by addressing the issue as a matter of law, both Montana and Tennessee are removing the thin cover behind which the LGBTQ crowd has been hiding. Now, according to state law in both states, there are only two classifications: male and female. Period.

Corporate America Has Launched A Religious War. Pick A Side.
The short answer to these questions is that we’ve entered a new phase of the culture war, and in some ways have transcended “the culture war” completely. What we’re in now is better described as a religious war — one that’s been launched by corporate America against all of us, and therefore demands we all choose sides.
Choosing sides in a religious war means you have to choose your religion. And in this particular religious war, there are only two sides. On one side is what C.S. Lewis called the Tao, which was his ecumenical shorthand for objective moral truth. “The Tao, which others may call Natural Law or Traditional Morality or the First Principles of Practical Reason or the First Platitudes, is not one among a series of possible systems of value,” Lewis wrote in The Abolition of Man. “It is the sole source of all value judgments. If it is rejected, all value is rejected. If any value is retained, it is retained.”

LinkedIn slaps down Vivek Ramaswamy's account - TheBlaze
LinkedIn took action against the account of Republican presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, claiming that he had run afoul of the social media platform's rules by repeatedly posting material that included "misleading or inaccurate information."
"Big Tech election interference has begun: @LinkedIn locked my account & censored me this week for posting videos where I expressed fact-based views as a presidential candidate about climate policy and Biden's relationships with China," Ramaswamy tweeted.

Michigan county declares itself to be a sanctuary for 'constitutional rights' - TheBlaze
A county in western Michigan has declared itself to be a "constitutional county" in an attempt to shield its residents from government overreach at the state and federal level.
On Tuesday, more than a hundred people spoke before the board of commissioners to share their thoughts about a measure to make Ottawa County — which is located between Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan — a "constitutional county." After several hours of public statements, the measure passed overwhelmingly, 9-1. The only dissenter was the lone Democratic commissioner, Doug Zylstra, and one commissioner was absent.
The resolution to protect constitutional rights in the county came about largely because of a grassroots campaign which succeeded in electing conservative commissioners. Ottawa Impact, a 501(c)(4), began as a means of eradicating the "progressive" Republicans on the board who had failed to protect their constituents as Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) and others shut down businesses and imposed onerous mask mandates on school children in 2020.

Canadian cop punished for giving $50 to Freedom Convoy, forced to perform 80 hours of unpaid labor - TheBlaze
A Canadian police officer has been persecuted and prosecuted for having dared to donate $36.66 USD of his own money to the Freedom Convoy.
Windsor Police Service Const. Michael Brisco learned on May 18 that, following his discreditable conduct conviction under the Police Services Act, he must now work 80 hours for free as a penalty for his private expenditure, which evidently upset the sensitivities of the state, reported CTV News.
Brisco, a 15-year veteran on the force with no previous history of disciplinary actions, reportedly made the donation on Feb. 7, 2022, after he was suspended for refusing to provide papers evidencing compliance with vaccine requirements, reported the Windsor Star.
The constable admitted to posting this message along with his donation: "Thank you fellow Canadians for fighting for freedom at the base of Sauron’s Tower. The world is watching … and we see Trudeau’s true colours."

'Socially contagious' gender dysphoria study retracted from journal after trans activists retaliate - TheBlaze
A study exploring whether gender dysphoria is "socially contagious" among children and young adults was recently retracted by a major journal after transgender activists threatened to cease working for the journal.
Springer's Archives of Sexual Behavior is retracting a paper by Dr. Michael Bailey and Suzanna Diaz titled "Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria: Parent Reports on 1655 Possible Cases."
The paper studied 1,655 adolescents and young adults who reportedly began experiencing gender dysphoria between the ages of 11 and 21. The researchers found that 75% of the cases involved females with pre-existing mental health conditions. Individuals with mental health problems were more likely to have socially and medically transitioned, the paper stated.
The study explored the hypothesis that the dramatic increase of young people claiming to suffer from gender dysphoria might indicate a "socially contagious syndrome" called "Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria," a term coined in 2018 by Dr. Lisa Littman.
Bailey stated, "The new study is much larger than any other study of ROGD to date. It consists of parent reports from an online survey conducted on the website ParentsofROGDKids."

Women in Texas under investigation for complaining about male transvestite in their bathroom: Report - TheBlaze
A group of women are now under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety after they complained about a man using their restroom in the state Capitol, according to Texas Scorecard, which describes itself as a "relentlessly pro-citizen, unabashedly pro-liberty" outlet.
On May 12, many passionate demonstrators flocked to the Texas Capitol in Austin either to show their support for or their disapproval of Senate Bill 14, which would ban the mutilating practice of "gender-affirming care" on children and is expected to pass into law soon. Among the protesters was a large contingent of transgender activists, including Nova Martin, a man who claims to be "America’s favorite transwoman feminist lesbian druidess poet."
Martin, who shared a photo of himself sporting a beard and male clothing as recently as two years ago, dressed up in women's clothing and "a bright wig" that day, Texas Scorecard claimed. At one point, Martin also attempted to assert his female identity by utilizing a women's restroom near the House chamber. Several female pro-children advocates spotted Martin and objected to him using their facility. He entered the restroom anyway.

Supreme Court Delivers Victory For 94-Year-Old Homeowner, Ruling Against ‘Home Equity Theft’ | The Daily Caller
The Supreme Court unanimously ruled Thursday that a county’s decision to keep surplus profits after selling a 94-year-old woman’s home to cover a tax debt violates the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment.
Geraldine Tyler owed a $15,000 tax debt on one-bedroom Minneapolis condo; to pay the debt, Hennepin County, Minnesota sold her home for $40,000—and kept the extra $25,000 beyond what was owed. Chief Justice Roberts wrote in the opinion of the Court that the taxpayer must “render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, but no more,” effectively ending the practice of home equity theft.
“The County had the power to sell Tyler’s home to recover the unpaid property taxes,” he wrote. “But it could not use the toehold of the tax debt to confiscate more property than was due.”

Coming to a Street Corner Near You: Youth Arrested for Handing Out Bibles - The New American
Within four minutes of participating in a rally in Calgary, Canada, supporting a student’s defiance of the woke agenda being promoted in his high school, Josh Alexander was arrested. His alleged crime? Handing out Bibles to the student participants.
The real reason? Josh Alexander, for whom the rally was named (the “I Stand with Josh Alexander” International Walkout Protest), has a history of defying the authorities in the name of Jesus Christ.

Latest Attack on Christianity: Forgiveness Is BAD, a “Religious Construct” - The New American
At issue is a Monday Independent article titled “Miriam Toews: ‘Forgiveness is a religious construct, a means of maintaining the status quo.’” Toews, apparently, is a Canadian novelist of some repute who, having been raised in a Mennonite community, is still at close to 60 years old in a teenage rebellion phase.
The Independent article’s author, Helen Brown, describes Toews (pronounced “tayves”) as an “award-winning writer of seven bestselling novels”; this includes 2018’s Women Talking, which last year was made into a film. It was when discussing this work — which concerns the rape of more than 100 women and girls in a Bolivian Mennonite town — that Toews flayed forgiveness.
The “novel zooms in on the 48 hours in which the town’s women have to choose whether to forgive their assailants or leave the only lives they’ve ever known and risk eternal damnation,” relates Brown.
She then continues, “‘Forgiveness is a religious construct, a means of maintaining the status quo,’ Toews tells me today. ‘In my community, forgiveness is all. But forgiveness can be permission. It can mean nothing changes. So, what good is it?’”

New York City Officials Freeze Accounts After Banks Fail To Submit Anti-Discrimination Plans | The Daily Wire
Officials in New York City limited account deposits on Thursday at Capital One and KeyBank after the financial institutions failed to submit required anti-discrimination plans.
The city issued mandates earlier this year for banks which hold public funds to detail “specific steps to combat different forms of discrimination in their operations.” An announcement from the office of New York City Comptroller Brad Lander claimed that Capital One and KeyBank “outright refused” to comply with the requirement.
“Banks seeking to do business with New York City must demonstrate that they will be responsible managers of public funds and responsible actors in our communities,” Lander said in a statement. “Unfortunately, despite several opportunities to do so, five banks failed to comply with the New York City Banking Commission’s designation process, leaving us to conclude that they are not taking meaningful actions to combat discrimination in their operations and are not responsible stewards of public dollars.”

On religious war
on ldsavow, there was a mom posting about her son's visions. Thomas.
His accounts had a few things in them that I had never heard predicted before. One of them was that the states will highly polarize to the extent that a liberal state will try to strike TX with a nuke and will fail. TX strikes back and succeeds. When Trump was pres , many states formed what they called a 'consortium' against him and vowed to not enact his policies. I thought the civil war was about to start...but... well... nothing ever seems to take off.
I am guessing that if states do sharply polarize that Utah will remain neutral or even lean left due to the LDS power in state govt. Make no mistake, the church controls Utah. Hopefully the predicted earthquakes for SLC occur before then so Utah will be out of play.
The culture war , imo , is very real , but it isn't really about religion, it's simply about valuing the traditional constitutional guidelines and FAMILY values. Very few people are left that put family at the top priority above all else.
The marine's creed is very interesting. Family, God, and Country. My perspective is that country is last because 'country' involves the politics of men. Men are to fight first for family . If they fight first for "God" it becomes the same crazy zealotry that religions have been doing for thousands of years. Creating an enemy and going to war with them over 'God' is insane.

‘They’re opposed to government. But now they are the government.’ One county’s hard-right shift
GALLATIN, Tenn. (AP) — Shortly after being sworn in last fall, the new majority of the Sumner County Commission in Tennessee acted to update one of its official documents. The new version said county operations would not only be orderly and efficient, but “most importantly reflective of the Judeo-Christian values inherent in the nation’s founding.”
"Since taking control, that majority has halted plans for a new building, rejected federal grants and tried to give away a historical property, actions it said were in line with its commitment to fiscal responsibility, protecting property owners and managing growth. The group also has been involved in an escalating feud with the county’s election commission in ways that have prompted concerns about whether preparations for the 2024 presidential electin will be affected".

U.S. SUPREME COURT ALLOWS IRS TO CARRY OUT SECRET, WARRANTLESS SEARCHES OF INNOCENT TAXPAYERS’ BANK ACCOUNTS – trendsjournal.com
WASHINGTON, DC — In a unanimous opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court is allowing the IRS to go on secret, warrantless fishing expeditions through innocent taxpayers’ bank records in order to identify and collect unpaid taxes from family members and associates who have no legal interest in those bank accounts.
Despite acknowledging that “the authority vested in tax collectors may be abused, as all power is subject to abuse,” and that “Congress has given the IRS considerable power,” the Supreme Court’s 9-0 ruling in Polselli v. IRS declined to restrict the IRS’s authority. Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute and Cato Institute had filed an amicus brief in Polselli arguing that the sweeping investigatory power wielded by the IRS—to circumvent the Fourth Amendment by carrying out warrantless searches of the bank accounts and records of innocent people, who are given no notice or right to object to the search, merely because they may be associated with a delinquent taxpayer—offends every constitutional sensibility on the right to privacy.

Left-Wing Extremism Tied To Psychopathy And Narcissism, Study Finds
The study introduced a new term for this behavior called the “dark-ego-vehicle principle.”
“According to this principle, individuals with dark personalities – such as high narcissistic and psychopathic traits – are attracted to certain forms of political and social activism which they can use as a vehicle to satisfy their own ego-focused needs instead of actually aiming at social justice and equality,” study authors Dr. Ann Krispenz and Dr. Alexander Bertrams told PsyPost.
