Re: My blog (New Entry)
"Do you spend hours on end on your knees?" - The entire blog post was excellent, but this sentence reminds me that I have been being nudged to spend an entire day or even days sitting with the Lord and to have pen and notepad at hand to record. But I procrastinate the day of my repentance which my intuition tells me will be a marvelous experience.
Today has been well-spent, but too many days are largely wasted away.

Re: My blog (New Entry)
I once spent fourteen days in focused and dedicated supplication (from the moment I woke up, through my work day, when I came home and could then spend quiet alone time with the Lord, through to the night until I crawled into bed)...nothing but focused prayer. I tried to go 40 days, but my stamina gave out after 14 days. I wrote all my thoughts and desires on a notebook which I still have in storage. We must learn to be a people who can pray and not faint. I should write another blog about this very soon.Original_Intent wrote: ↑June 11th, 2023, 12:55 pm "Do you spend hours on end on your knees?" - The entire blog post was excellent, but this sentence reminds me that I have been being nudged to spend an entire day or even days sitting with the Lord and to have pen and notepad at hand to record. Re: My blog (New Entry)
Hermano mío, this is beautiful
I too share my witness of the truth that Jesus Christ is our Lord and our Redeemer. He alone holds the keys to our salvation..... Can there be a greater message to share with our family/the world?!?

Re: My blog (New Entry)
This one was a labor of love and a grueling endeavor! So glad it's done. On to my next project.
REMEMBER the Sabbath (not that Sabbath).

Re: My blog (New Entry)
Yes. New moon day is not a Sabbath, but it is still a day appointed by the Lord as a day of worship. It's all in my blog entry.sushi_chef wrote: ↑August 16th, 2023, 3:46 am is there any difference found by keeping holy seventh day from the new moon day???

Re: My blog (New Entry)
Thank you, SJR3t2 for the beautiful insight!
Today is New Moon Day (the solar eclipse/conjunction happened at 3:38 am this morning)!
For those who have read my blog on the Lunar Sabbath (it received a lot of views!), Joseph Smith received the following revelation on August 7, 1831:
D&C 59:9 And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon *my holy day*
10 For verily *this* is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High;
11 Nevertheless thy vows shall be offered up in righteousness on all days and at all times;
12 But remember that on **this, the Lord’s day**, thou shalt offer thine oblations and thy sacraments unto the Most High, confessing thy sins unto thy brethren, and before the Lord.
Guess what was special about "this" day given in the passage above on August 7, 1831? Click the link to find out:

Re: My blog (New Entry)
Gave that talk today. I kept getting my pants tugged toward the end by the bishropic to cut it short, but I plowed through to the end. I had to go over my time limit, but it needed to be said. I'm glad it's behind me.
Happy Constitution Day!

Amen!
Beautifully written. Most become angry with me when I suggest they learn to love their enemies. It makes my heart sing to read that others understand the importance.

Re: My blog (New Entry)
I was pondering which scriptures to study today.... and then read your blog.
I love how the need to read a particular verse or chapter seems to come to me in the most fascinating ways.
3 Nephi chapter 21 is a great chapter to study deeply.
