Ex-Bill Moyers Staffer: We Used Technical Magic to Make Our Leftist “Intellectual” Guests Sound Smart - The New American

Uncut conversations were eye-opening; it was astonishing how often our esteemed guests hemmed and hawed and got basic facts embarrassingly wrong. And how many came off bat[****] crazy: one, later an anchor on MSNBC, speculated that Captain Sully’s Miracle on the Hudson — visible from our west side offices — had been God blessing the Obamas.

Drafting the Moyers Blog and promotional listings, I’d sit in with producers and video editors to consult on coalescing broadcasts. They were like wizards, casting away awkwardness and errors to sculpt artful vignettes of the most compelling bits of conversations that often stretched well over an hour or more.

So many of the most rousing clips came from when guests were at their most factually inaccurate, and editors deftly dipped in and out to pull and seamlessly reassemble the very best parts. It was wondrous alchemy.

Scientists Are Now Merging AI With Living Creatures Called “Organoid Intelligence” – winepressnews.com

Now that the artificial intelligence (AI) has solidified itself amongst the common masses, scientists are now looking to combine this with living tissues to create what is now called “organoid intelligence (OI).”

Essentially scientists are trying to create a functional brain identical to ours from scratch.

NJ Dad Arrested After Letting His Child Walk Outside - The New American

The responding officer easily located the girl who was “dressed appropriately,” according to his report. He asked for her address, which she gave him. It was a few blocks away, and the cop proceeded to walk her home.

When they arrived, the girl introduced the officer to her mother and father, according to Kaplan. But the officer refused to release her unless her parents presented their identification. When they declined to do so — arguing they hadn’t done anything wrong — he called for backup.

When Kaplan arrived at his friends’ home, he started filming the encounter. By now, the girl had started crying. Then her father did “what any dad would — he went to hug his crying kid,” says Kaplan. “And at that point he was arrested. With handcuffs.”

Treasury inspector general audit: 42,000 federal employees 'repeatedly' don't file federal returns | Just The News

“Repeatedly not filing a tax return when a taxpayer is required to do so is a brazen form of noncompliance," the inspector general said in the report Thursday. "Federal civilian employees with tax delinquencies have a legal and ethical requirement to be current with their tax obligations.”

You know you're a criminal organization when you are willing to accept taxes on criminal activity.

Twitter users erupt at IRS's calls for thieves to report stolen income: 'Good to know' | Fox Business

The IRS's bewildering rule about self-reporting income from crimes has caused some Twitter users to mock the federal agency.

According to IRS Publication 525, taxpayers are legally required to report the value of whatever property they stole during the tax year.

"If you steal property, you must report its FMV (Fair Market Value) in your income in the year you steal it, unless in the same year you return it to its rightful owner," the rule reads.

The same rule applies to bribery, drug deals and other income-earning crimes.

Nonbinary pronouns nonhelpful on job resumes, study finds | Just The News

Modeling their research after a famous study conducted by the University of Chicago and Massachusetts Institute of Technology 20 years ago that evaluated racial bias in hiring practices, the researchers substituted in gender-neutral pronouns for race. They then sent two "phantom" resumes to almost 200 job postings.

The resumes were all but identical, with both featuring a generic, somewhat gender-ambiguous name, "Taylor Williams." The only difference — a vitally important one, it turned out — between the test and control resumes was the fact that the test version included gender pronouns. Specifically, the test resume placed "they/them" pronouns directly under the name in the header (read the author's full methodology below).

Both phantom candidates, college graduates, had qualifications matching the requirements of the entry-level jobs they applied for. "Despite this," noted the report,"the test resumes that included pronouns received eight percent less employer interest than the control resumes without pronouns."

When the authors followed up with the hiring managers, the managers confirmed they were considerably less likely "to want to contact an applicant whose resume included 'they/them' pronouns."

GOP Demands Answers After NBA Team Blasted Chinese Communist Propaganda During Game | The Gateway Pundit

“Happy Chinese New Year to D.C. family,” Gang says in the video. “This is the Year of the Rabbit, which symbolizes kindness, elegance and beauty.”

It’s all perfunctory, benign stuff that anyone who has been remotely near any such New Year celebration has heard ad nauseam.

But there’s a reason that Spectator reporter Matthew Foldi — and, eventually, GOP lawmakers — described it as China flexing its “soft power.”

Anything more overt would be too obvious, especially in the nation’s capital. But gently easing propagandist Chinese messaging, wrapped up in cheerful New Year’s packaging? It’s the kind of subliminal messaging that would fly over the heads of most Democrats.

HERE WE GO: FDIC and Federal Reserve Discuss Creating Fund to Backstop Deposits if More Banks Collapse | The Gateway Pundit

Silicon Valley Bank was shut down by regulators on Friday in the biggest bank failure since the 2008 liquidity crisis.

Silicon Valley Bank reportedly held $173 billion in deposits.

The Fed interest rate is at 4.57% and $117 billion of Silicon Valley Bank securities are yielding only 1.56-1.66% – this is causing a run on the bank.

The Federal Reserve caused the run on the bank by raising interest rates seven times in 2022.

2022’s rate hikes totaling 450 basis points is causing problems for bankers because investors want to move their money into higher-yield bonds.

James Comer: “It’s as bad as we thought… Since we’ve last spoken we have bank records in hand. We have individuals who are working with our committee. In the last two weeks we’ve met with either these individuals personally or with their attorneys. And that would be four individuals who had ties in with the Biden family in their various schemes around the world. So now we have in hand documents We have in hand documents in hand that show just how the Biden family was getting money from the Chinese Communist Party.”

That Was Quick: Democrats Already Asking Federal Government to Censor Information Social Media That Could Lead to Run on the Banks | The Gateway Pundit

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) was on a Zoom meeting this afternoon with members of Congress, the Fed, the Treasury, and FDIC. The call was organized after Silicon Valley Bank crashed and was taken over by the State of California on Friday.

Silicon Valley Bank was the largest US bank to crash since the 2008 banking crisis.

During the call on Sunday afternoon Massie reported that one Democrat Senator asked if there was a program in place to censor free speech at this time on social media.

The first thought of the Democrat Party is to strip Americans of their right to free speech and the free flow of information.

These people are not your friend.

Shocking Study Out of Australia Shows up to a 26 Fold Increase in Excess Mortality in 2021 and 2022. Consistent With American Insurance Companies Findings. | The Gateway Pundit

A pre-print study published in February 2023 by Dr. Wilson Sy shows an incredible analysis of excess mortality data in Australia. Based on his research and analysis of the data, Dr. Sy concluded that there is an excess death rate in 2021 that is 7-fold higher than than 2020 and 14-fold in 2022. The 2022 data was only available up to September 2022. Dr. Sy predicts the final months of 2022 could amount to a 19-fold increase overall for that year.

Yes, you heard that right: a 7-fold and potentially 19-fold increase in excess mortality in 2021 and 2022, respectively, over 2020, the “year of the pandemic”.

To be clear: Dr. Sy is not a medical doctor, but as you will see, his research and analysis is based solely off of data provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and requires minimal, if any, medical expertise.

Dr. Sy began analyzing excess mortality data ranging back to 2015 through September 2022. He was able to draw concerning conclusions based on the ABS data:

Tucker Carlson Goes There: "If People Don't Start Making a Lot of Noise - It Will Mean Digital Currency... If You Want to Make a Run on the Banks This Is How You Talk" | The Gateway Pundit

Tucker Carlson: You have to ask yourself, what are they going to do this time? Well, we know we’re about to see bank consolidation. Big banks eating little banks. And that means less competition. More consolidation means more government control. So what are they going to do with that control? Well, all things being equal, if people don’t start making a lot of noise and exerting an awful lot of pressure, it’ll mean digital currency, a currency that politicians control… You think that’s not coming? Of course it’s coming. They’d like it to come…

…You’ve got a deposit at a regional bank that’s holding tons, way more than you know, of long term treasuries that are worth a lot less than they were when the bank bought them. That means that bank is at risk. That means your money is at risk. But Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona doesn’t want you to know about that. Why wouldn’t they want you to know? That kind of interesting. That kind of censorship could actually crush people. So we have to ask the obvious question how close are we to some sort of disaster?

South Carolina Bill Would Label Abortions As Homicide — Make Participants Eligible for the Death Penalty | The Gateway Pundit

A South Carolina bill is making headlines for seeking to make a person who gets or performs an abortion guilty of homicide.
Under the South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act of 2023, a person involved in an abortion could ultimately face the death penalty.

Rep. Rob Harris introduced the bill and currently has 21 cosponsors.

The legislation would redefine “person” to include a baby from the moment of conception. This would afford a fetus the same protections as a person who has been born, including capital punishment for their deliberate killing.

There is an exception for a pregnant woman who gets an abortion “because she was compelled to do so by the threat of imminent death or great bodily injury” or if it was the absolute only way to save the mother’s life and efforts to save them both have failed.

The bill would not have exceptions for cases of rape or incest.

BRAVE MOM Receives Threats From Woke Mob Directed at Her Children After Exposing Popular Transgender’s Grooming Messages To Young Children [VIDEO]

Popular social media figure Shumirun Nessa has been doxxed and had her kids threatened after she created a video calling out TikToker Jeffrey Marsh for being a groomer.

Nessa made a video questioning the appropriateness of Marsh targeting kids and trying to get a private audience with them on social media.

Moody's cuts outlook on U.S. banking system to negative, citing 'rapidly deteriorating operating environment'

In a harsh blow to an already-reeling sector, Moody’s Investors Service cut its view on the entire banking system to negative from stable.

The firm, part of the big three rating services, said Monday it was making the move in light of key bank failures that prompted regulators to step in Sunday with a dramatic rescue plan for depositors and other institutions impacted by the crisis.

“We have changed to negative from stable our outlook on the US banking system to reflect the rapid deterioration in the operating environment following deposit runs at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Silvergate Bank, and Signature Bank (SNY) and the failures of SVB and SNY,” Moody’s said in a report.

The move followed action late Monday, when Moody’s warned it either was downgrading or placing on review for downgrade seven individual institutions.

The moves are important because they could impact credit ratings and thus borrowing costs for the sector.

Abortion Provider Appreciation Day? Really?!

With 'Abortion Provider Appreciation Day,' Dems Laud Executioners

Hangmen used to be shunned. For most of human history, it was presumed that executions were sometimes right, just, and necessary for upholding the law and maintaining order, but those who dealt out death in cold blood were nonetheless considered unsavory. And it is still shocking to our sensibilities that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has declared an Executioner Appreciation Day.

Wait, my mistake. That was Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker declaring an Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. Pritzker was fulsome in his praise for abortionists’ “courage, compassion, and dedication to their work.” He expounded upon how essential abortion is, and how excellent it is that Illinois is an abortion tourism destination.

China’s new ‘Smart Religion’ app requires faithful to register to attend worship services | Catholic News Agency

A human rights group active in China is reporting that religious believers in a populous Chinese province are now required to register on a government app in order to attend worship services.

ChinaAid, a U.S.-based Christian charity, reported March 6 that the religious department of the provincial government of Henan is rolling out a system whereby all believers must make online reservations before they can attend services in churches, mosques, or Buddhist temples.

The reservations are to be made through an app called “Smart Religion” developed by the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Henan Province. According to ChinaAid, applicants must fill in personal information, including their name, phone number, government ID number, permanent residence, occupation, and date of birth before they can make a reservation. Those who are allowed into a place of worship must also have their temperature taken — suggesting the app may be related in some way to COVID-19 restrictions — and show a reservation code.

Reagan would shoot down Russian planes – US lawmaker — RT World News

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has suggested opening fire on Russian fighter jets that intercept US drones, after one such encounter ended with an MQ-9 Reaper plunging into the Black Sea on Tuesday.

“What would Ronald Reagan do right now? He would start shooting Russian planes down, if they were threatening our assets,” the veteran hawk told Fox News, while commenting on the incident.

The Pentagon has accused Russian military pilots of conducting unsafe air maneuvers near the drone, which it claimed was on a surveillance mission near Crimea. At one point a Su-27 allegedly hit the Reaper’s propeller, causing it to ditch in the sea.
