Yes the railroad thread had some interesting posts, but some of us already knew Nelson was Skull & Bones / Owl & Key, and other similar things about the Church/leaders.

Hey tmac, tmac wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 12:21 pm One thing is for sure, AGF must get a kick out of knowing that that there has probably never been a thread, subject matter, and a single poster that more people have gotten their panties more in a wad about than him. How could that not be somewhat satisfying?
In my case, although there were actually quite a few interesting dots to connect (many of which have apparently been essentially meaningless to most people) the one thing that the Railroad thread did crystalize in my mind — and I have alluded to this elsewhere — was that according to someone’s grand plan, two very worldly, progressive, socialistic men (and well-qualified for this worldly (NWO/OWG) mission) were seemingly plucked almost out of nowhere at the time, and placed in positions that would eventually put the Church where it is today, 40 years later.
In my view this is something that must have been inspired and directed by someone who knows more and has a longer view than mere mortals. The question is who?
Although I feel like I have been fairly awakened for quite some time, I feel like the Railroad thread did help contribute to my understanding of the true realities and awfulness of our current situation. But that’s just me.
Otherwise, this is just all just more meaningless distraction (just like the original Railroad thread). EIMN, what, if any, additional substantive information have you come up with? I think that most people are still operating in relative oblivion as to the role of the railroad in the whole equation.
I for one am glad you are pursuing this.endlessismyname wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 12:54 pmHey tmac, tmac wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 12:21 pm One thing is for sure, AGF must get a kick out of knowing that that there has probably never been a thread, subject matter, and a single poster that more people have gotten their panties more in a wad about than him. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to spend any more time on this. Hoping to pick it up again this weekend.
I never intended to quickly “solve” anything. My personal opinion is there is likely a lifetime’s worth of research contained in the railroad thread.
I have no idea why people feel the need to add their commentary to what I was hoping would be a research thread, especially when they seem so certain it’s a waste of time. When I think something is a waste of time I ignore it. So it’s a fascinating phenomenon.
I’m not sure what people are expecting or hoping for here. To me the railroad thread feels like a cave system… something dreadful and beautiful and mysterious. I intend to explore it. If everyone wants to stand around and yap about it I’m okay with that, too.
For those interested, I’d say that right now my areas of interest are:
1) The church’s long term relationship with Union Pacific, and how the church has used it for what the author of the paper I found referred to as “mutually beneficial opportunities”.
2) Dallin H Oaks’ specific involvement with UP. This seems to be where AGF wanted us to look, so I’m going to dig in there.
3) Oaks, Nelson, and their relationship prior to being plucked out of the world and placed into positions of leadership, in the world and the church.
4) Looking at the public history of their positions throughout their ministry. They’re calling seems to have been a hinge point in church history and I’m interested to see if they’ve acted in lockstep throughout the years, which could be evidence they share allegiance to some other entity.
How long will it take? No idea. I’m a busy guy.

Wow, this definition struck me in light of the church's 180-flip support of federal and state LGBTQ legislation.JuneBug12000 wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 2:46 pm

Excellent.JuneBug12000 wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 2:46 pm Besides the obvious Union Pacific Railroad references, some of the idiomatic expressions of railroad below may also apply to various elements of the thread.
Have member of the LDS been railroaded and fugitives escaped by a hasty action that the implications of are just now being realized?
I realize that question could be read two ways. I fall on the side that AGF's revelations are valuable.
https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/railroads
railroad (one)
1.
To force one into some action or situation by putting a lot of pressure on one to hurry and acquiesce right away
railroad (something) through
To force the passage or acceptance of something, especially legislation, by an authoritative body with such haste and pressure that the standard considerations of its implications are avoided or ignored.
underground railroad
2. By extension, any network of people working together secretly to help fugitives escape to places of safety and freedom.

Still don’t understand how people can think Brigham Young was on “their side” when he fought against them all his life.endlessismyname wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 5:50 pm I had a second to do a bit of research.
I AM NOT VOUCHING FOR THIS SOURCE.
I am simply placing this here because the author seems to point more explicitly towards things AGF hinted at.
Maximum discernment needed with this kind of site, though, so READER BEWARE!
https://rockfordfraud.wordpress.com/201 ... s-apostle/
For example:
"Mormon Pioneer Saints FINANCED the foundation of the New World Order when Brigham Young never paid them for building the Union Pacific tracks across Utah. Young’s Apostle sons went to work for Harriman. Harrian’s son was Averell Harriman, whose Union Bank Chairman was PRESCOTT BUSH!!"
That guy is often found in YouTube comment sections. He seems to have some facts behind him, but like a lot of people of his ilk, he spreads actual conspiracy theories—not conspiracy facts. Emphasis on the word “theory”. I can find nothing to back up what he says a lot of the time.endlessismyname wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 6:14 pm This seems to be the origin of this particular blogger's beef with the church:
'"June 2016 I began writing this blog. I had been targeted 4 decades by the local drug-trafficking Illinois Democrats. I knew one Mormon was in bed with them, who had Bait & Switched me into about 10 real-estate frauds.
Jesus money
When I found the son-in-law of Mormon Apostle Dallin H. Oaks was the Mormon fraud-artist’s real-estate partner, I began to pull the threads to reveal the money trail of the CIA Bush-Clinton cocaine trail from Mena Airport, the Two Boys On The Tracks, Jackson Stephen’s “Systematics” and money-laundering software contract with my Mormon Bishop, Stake President, General Authority, Mission President–and son-in-law of Dallin H. Oaks.
All of the real-estate frauds since 2006 were relatives of Oaks or employees of his son-in-law Attorney and Banker Jack Ward. Ward was the secret largest shareholder of Amcore Bank, which went bankrupt in 2010 for “self-dealing and fraud.”'
I will say, this blog is a big red flag, and potential evidence that the "this is a waste of time" crowd is on to something.
One interesting thing I'm noticing is that all the topics on the blog are topics that have found their way on to LDSFF over the past few years and gained traction.
My plan here is to try to stick to verifiable claims related to Oaks, and try to verify them. There's a ton of crazy, crazy stuff at this source.

Definitely a TON of accusations, with very little evidence to back any of it up.
But LOTS of interesting factoids that can easily be verified or shown as false as well.
Not sure how to proceed at the moment... thinking it through, combing through material, trying to decide if it's worth it to go down this particular part of the cave system.
I'm fascinated by the sheer number of topic similarities between this guy's blog, and LDSFF content over the past several years.
AGF hardly seemed like an organic, real user to me... more like a proxy designed to point people in a certain direction and discuss certain topics.

Facts are facts. If you continue to uncover facts related to the subject matter by pursuing some of the stuff AGF mentioned, why not continue to uncover facts. If you run into too many theories, as Luke put it, without enough facts, then you probably have your answer, or at least, validation that it's a dead end.
Just my .2 cents. I'm just hopeful you'll find something. Plus, if you need assistance pushing through content on sites or whatever, I offer my help whenever I can.
And you never know when you'll post something that seems isolated, but then someone else here can use it to connect something that they thought was isolated, too.
