Almost certainly. Listen to the https://hemlockknots.com/why-was-the-na ... destroyed/ on Why Was the Nauvoo Expositor Destroyed? The brethren were busy producing "bogus" as the record states .

Denver Snuffer wrote: Salem was a land filled with abominations. Melchizedek, by faith, obtained the Holy Order, taught repentance, and persuaded them to reform. Nauvoo was a viper’s den. It was a place with widespread adultery and conspirators who precipitated the murders of Joseph and Hyrum.

Leaders and members engaging in a variety of sin and illegal activity, the temple commanded by the Lord to be made was not built and accepted before the prophet's death. Seems fair to say the early saints failed and the movement was condemned.

There is compelling evidence that Joseph, Hyrum and Samual were all murdered...and it was an INSIDE JOB.

Brigham left Nauvoo early because of federal indictments for him and some of the twelve...you won't hear that from your gospel doctrine teacher.

The Gospel Tangents video does a good job of establishing the fact that counterfeiting was going on in Nauvoo. Although, she seems naive that William Clayton was not a good source to trust.

There was a concerted effort after Joseph was murdered to rewrite history and "dirty up" Jospeh to justify the actions of some of the apostles and leaders. Clayton was part of this effort. The Hemlock Knots video fills in many of the gaps and questions of WHO was actually involved.

If you were guilty of counterfeiting and polygamy,...which would lead to excommunication, loss of respect, loss of family and jail time...and the walls were closing in on you from Joseph and Hyrum...that is a pretty strong motive to get rid of the Smith's.

There is much more to the murders of Joseph and Hyrum than meets the eye.
