Mrs Freeh, you can add Louis Freeh to that list. Waco, TX. Penn State sex scandal which they made Paterno a fall guy for. That scandal seemed to reach much higher than the University. They just wanted to stop it before they started name dropping politicians and wealthy elitists that were grooming young boys and using the university as a breeding ground. Louis Freeh himself is a rare breed of evil. He's a prime example of everything that is wrong with the FBI.

Nordstream 1-2's four explosions: CIA's WaPo makes the claim that Russia shot its own golden goose

And exploded its leverage over Europe. Can anyone take this seriously?
Just because both Joe Biden and State Department diplomat Victoria Nuland (who came to fame when, in 2014, she insisted to the US’ ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt that it would be the US’ choice of who ran Ukraine, not Europe’s choice [“@#$%! the EU”] in a leaked phone call) — threatened to disable the Nordstream pipelines, well, that doesn’t mean the US government is guilty. There isn’t any evidence, is there?
“Nuland said on video, on January 27, 2022, “If Russia invades Ukraine, one way or another, NordStream 2 will not move forward.” You can also watch her on Twitter.
Nuland’s husband is the equally loathesome Robert Kagan, cofounder of the 1998 Project for a New American Century. Her father, believe it or not, was a famous bioethicist and surgeon. The apple fell far from the tree.
What does today’s WaPo say?

In case you missed it, I wrote a 4400 word article on the new omicron boosters. Then I gave a powerpoint-illustrated talk on the boosters and other current topics for CHD TV

I discussed multiple topics, including:
1.  markedly increased mortality rates seen in heavily vaccinated countries,
2.  the coordinated rollout of new untested boosters throughout the EU, Switzerland, UK, Canada and the US on virtually the same day,
3.  negative vaccine efficacy,
4.  the poor vaccine efficacy that did not just start with omicron
5.  regulatory malfeasance at FDA and CDC
6.  CDC changing the definition of vaccine to align it with the mRNA gene therapy products
7.  the Novavax shots
8.  the higher adverse events after a prototype Pfizer omicron booster
9.  the fact we are at the lowest COVID death rate since the start of the pandemic
10. the hidden pregnancy data, and other hidden "safety" data

Federal Bureau of Invention?
Microbiologist Meryl Nass Responds to FBI Closing Anthrax Case

Meryl Nass
The FBI's report, documents and accompanying information (only pertaining to Ivins, not to the rest of the investigation) were released on Friday afternoon ... which means the FBI anticipated doubt and ridicule.  The National Academies of Science (NAS) is several months away from issuing its $879,550 report on the microbial forensics, suggesting a) asking NAS to investigate the FBI's science was just a charade to placate Congress, and/or b) NAS' investigation might be uncovering things the FBI would prefer to bury, so FBI decided to preempt the NAS panel's report.
Here are today's reports from the Justice Department, AP, Washington Post and NY Times. The WaPo article ends,
The FBI's handling of the investigation has been criticized by Ivins's colleagues and by independent analysts who have pointed out multiple gaps, including a lack of hair, fiber other physical evidence directly linking Ivins to the anthrax letters. But despite long delays and false leads, Justice officials Friday expressed satisfaction with the outcome.
The evidence "established that Dr. Ivins, alone, mailed the anthrax letters," the Justice summary stated.
Actually, the 96-page FBI report is predicated on the assumption that the anthrax letters attack was carried out by a "lone nut." The FBI report fails to entertain the possibility that the letters attack could have involved more than one actor. The FBI admits that about 400 people may have had access to Ivins' RMR-1029 anthrax preparation, but asserts all were "ruled out" as lone perpetrators. FBI never tried to rule any out as part of a conspiracy, however.
That is only the first of many holes in FBI's case. Here is a sampling of some more.
1. The report assumes Ivins manufactured, purified and dried the spore prep in the anthrax hot room at US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID). His colleagues say the equipment available was insufficient to do so on the scale required.
2. But even more important, the letter spores contained a Bacillus subtilis contaminant, and silicon to enhance dispersal. FBI has never found the Bacillus subtilis strain at USAMRIID, and it has never acknowledged finding silicon there, either. If the letters anthrax was made at USAMRIID, at least small amounts of both would be there.
3. Drs. Perry Mikesell, Ayaad Assaad and Stephen Hatfill were 3 earlier suspects. All had circumstantial evidence linking them to the case. In Hatfill's case, especially, are hints he could have been "set up." Greendale, the return address on the letters, was a suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe where Hatfill attended medical school. Hatfill wrote an unpublished book about a biowarfare attack that bears some resemblance to the anthrax case. So the fact that abundant circumstantial evidence links Ivins to the case might be a reflection that he too was "set up" as a potential suspect, before the letters were sent.
4. FBI fails to provide any discussion of why no autopsy was performed, nor why, with Ivins under 24/7 surveillance from the house next door, with even his garbage being combed through, the FBI failed to notice that he overdosed and went into a coma. Nor is there any discussion of why the FBI didn't immediately identify tylenol as the overdose substance, and notify the hospital, so that a well-known antidote for tylenol toxicity could be given (N-acetyl cysteine, or alternatively glutathione). These omissions support the suggestion that Ivins' suicide was a convenience for the FBI. It enabled them to conclude the anthrax case, in the absence of evidence that would satisfy the courts.
5. The FBI's alleged motive is bogus. In 2001, Bioport's anthrax vaccine could not be (legally) relicensed due to potency failures, and its impending demise provided room for Ivins' newer anthrax vaccines to fill the gap. Ivins had nothing to do with developing Bioport's vaccine, although in addition to his duties working on newer vaccines, he was charged with assisting Bioport to get through licensure.
6. FBI's report claims, "Those who worked for him knew that Nass was one of those topics to avoid discussing around Dr. Ivins" (page 41). The truth is we had friendly meetings at the Annapolis, Maryland international anthrax conference in June 2001, and several phone conversations after that. Bruce occasionally assisted me in my study of the safety and efficacy of Bioport's licensed anthrax vaccine, giving me advice and papers he and others had written. I wonder if I was mentioned negatively to discourage Ivins' other friends and associates from communicating with me, since they have been prohibited from speaking freely? Clever.
7. The FBI's Summary states that "only a limited number of individuals ever had access to this specific spore preparation" and that the flask was under Ivins' sole and exclusive control. Yet the body of the report acknowledges hundreds of people who had access to the spores, and questions remain about the location of the spore prep during the period in question. FBI wordsmiths around this, claiming that no one at USAMRIID "legitimately" used spores from RMR1029 without the "authorization and knowledge" of Bruce Ivins. Of course, stealing spores to terrorize and kill is not a legitimate activity.
8. FBI says that only a small number of labs had Ames anthrax, including only 3 foreign labs. Yet a quick Pub Med search of papers published between 1999 and 2004 revealed Ames anthrax was studied in at least Italy, France, the UK, Israel and South Korea as well as the US. By failing to identify all labs with access to Ames, the FBI managed to exclude potential domestic and foreign perpetrators.
9. FBI claims that "drying anthrax is expressly forbidden by various treaties," therefore it would have to be performed clandestinely. Actually, the US government sponsored several programs that dried anthrax spores. Drying spores is not explicitly prohibited by the Biological Weapons Convention, though many would like it to be.
10. The FBI report claims the anthrax letters envelopes were sold in Frederick, Md. Later it admits that millions of indistinguishable envelopes were made, with sales in Maryland and Virginia.
11. FBI emphasizes Ivins' access to a photocopy machine, but fails to mention it was not the machine from which the notes that accompanied the spores were printed.
12. FBI claims Ivins was able to make a spore prep of equivalent purity as the letter spores. However, Ivins had clumping in his spores, while the spores in the Daschle/Leahy letters had no clumps. Whether Ivins could make a pure dried prep is unknown, but there is no evidence he had ever done so.
13. FBI asserts that Bioport and USAMRIID were nearly out of anthrax vaccine, to the point researchers might not have enough to vaccinate themselves. FBI further asserts this would end all anthrax research, derailing Ivins' career. In fact, USAMRIID has developed many dozens of vaccines (including those for anthrax) that were never licensed, but have been used by researchers to vaccinate themselves. There would be no vaccine shortage for researchers.
14. Ivins certainly had mental problems. But that does not explain why the FBI accompanied Ivins' therapist, Ms. Duley (herself under charges for multiple DUIs) and assisted her to apply for a peace order against him. Nor does it explain why Duley then went into hiding, never to be heard from again.
15. FBI obtained a voluntary collection of anthrax samples. Is that the way to conduct a multiple murder investigation: ask the scientists to supply you with the evidence to convict them? There is no report that spores were seized from anyone but Ivins, about 6 years after the attacks. This is a huge hole in the FBI's "scientific" methodology.
16. FBI claims it investigated Bioport and others who had a financial motive for the letters attack, and ruled them out. However, FBI provides not a shred of evidence from such an investigation.
FBI gave this report its best shot. The report sounds good. It includes some new evidence. It certainly makes Ivins out to be a crazed, scary and pathetic figure. If you haven't followed this story intently, you may be convinced of his guilt.
On the other hand, there are reasons why a conspiracy makes better sense. If the FBI really had the goods, they would not be overreaching to pin the crime on a lone nut.
JFK, RFK, George Wallace, Martin Luther King, all felled by lone nuts. Even Ronald Reagan's would-be assassin was a lone nut. Now Bruce Ivins. The American public is supposed to believe that all these crimes required no assistance and no funds.
Does the FBI stand for the Federal Bureau of Invention?

Conference on crimes committed by the FBI to be held at Bates
By Bates News. Published on January 5, 2000
The 11th annual Maine Conference Investigating Crimes Committed by the FBI by will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
The conference, sponsored by Maine Citizens to Defend the Bill of Rights and the New World Coalition, a student organization at Bates, features a talk by Raymond Kohlman, an attorney who in December 1999 successfully represented the family of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in a lawsuit claiming the civil rights leader was the victim of a vast murder conspiracy, not a lone assassin. The King family had sued Loyd Jowers, a retired businessman who claimed six years ago that he paid someone other than James Earl Ray to kill King in Memphis, Tenn., in 1968. Kohlman claimed the FBI, CIA, the Mafia and the U.S. military were involved in the assassination.
The conference also features a talk by Hoppy Heidelberg, a member of the Oklahoma City bombing grand jury who believes the FBI was involved in the destruction of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Heidelberg, a Reform Party gubernatorial candidate in Oklahoma, also is a member of Oklahomans for Truth, a group that recently took depositions from an FBI informant who testified to the FBI’s involvement in the Oklahoma City bombing.

CIA Case Officer Exposes US Government Role In MLK Assassination
Interviews with Ray Kohlman, Mike Ruppert, former Congresswoman Cynthia Mc Kinney, Catherine Austin Fitts, Gary Revel and more have helped shape Osborne’s conclusions of conspiracy and cover-up in the MLK Assassination.
By: Gary Revel
April 16, 2008 - PRLog -- Martin Luther King was assassinated. However, over 40 years after his untimely death, questions remain about the identities of the assassins and their backers. In short, who is specifically responsible?
Leutrell Osborne, Sr., former CIA Case Officer for over 26 years, has his own top-down approach based on his work with many prominent figures in the investigation. Meetings with Ray Kohlman, Mike Ruppert, former Congresswoman Cynthia Mc Kinney, Catherine Austin Fitts, Gary Revel and more have helped shape Osborne’s conclusions.

The Murder of Vince Foster: America's Would-Be Dreyfus Affair
In the case of the conviction and imprisonment of Captain Alfred Dreyfus on false espionage charges in late-19th century France, the initially small number of people who doubted the government and the press and worked for justice for Captain Dreyfus were known as "Dreyfusards." Doubt about the official version of the story of how President Bill Clinton's deputy White House Counsel Vincent W. Foster, Jr., died was also confined to a few individuals in the early days, at least among those who would speak up. By the terminology borrowed from France, David Martin was an original "Dreyfusard." In time, he was joined by people with a higher profile, but after Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr's team rendered its long-delayed opinion that the original "suicide" judgment had been correct, most of them dropped by the wayside. Martin, who as a senior at Davidson College was secretary of the Young Democrats Club of which Foster was a member, persisted, following the case into the controversy surrounding candidate Donald Trump's expressed suspicions about Foster's death in the 2016 presidential campaign and beyond. In a certain sense, this book may be regarded as the memoir of a Washington, DC, "Dreyfusard" insider. Eventually, justice would prevail in the Dreyfus case. Demonstrating the same sort of incisive analysis that he showed in The Assassination of James Forrestal and The Martyrdom of Thomas Merton, written with Hugh Turley, Martin makes a persuasive case that justice is yet to be done in the case of Vince Foster's death. A major reason for the difference, Martin explains, is that the press and the ruling establishment of the United States have been much more monolithic on the side of injustice than were those institutions in France at the turn of the 20th century. This book is destined to be the definitive reference work for anyone interested in this high-level murder mystery, as Martin fashions it, while, at the same time, it reveals a great deal about the nature of the controlling power of the United States at the turn of the 21st century.

Many years in the early 80s I was a Georgia State Police Officer, working at one of the State's Colleges. We got a memorandum that one of the King Children would be attending the college for at least one Quarter and possibly taking a full transfer to the college. We were ordered to keep hands off but provide them with escorts whenever they requested. We were to drop any investigation short of violent crime and assist. We were not to approach them in any manner unless we were asked by them or if we were in the company of upper level leadership (Chief and or Asst. Chief). That being said, I did exactly as I was ordered. They liked the College and did indeed have get a full transfer. They would be attending with one of Dr. King's best friend's family. That individual was a total pain and notorious trouble maker. But I digress.

I had an occasion to be in the close proximity of the Daughter and where I could actually talk to her. I asked if I could talk with her sometimes about her father. She smiled and said, "absolutely." So, a few days later, the opportunity was there and I went to her and we had a long visit. When the subject of the murder came up, she said quickly, "James Ray did not murder my father. We have known this all along." I said, I never thought he did either. She said, "that damn hoover, set it up and then covered it up." I asked how she knew that, and she quietly said that there was an agent that was assigned to the case that couldn't stomach what happened or how Hoover was having everything covered up or falsified to frame Ray. She said, Ray was actually passed out drunk away from his motel room when it happened. Then she said, "you know that famous photograph with everyone on the balcony pointing up?" I nodded my head and she said, they KNEW, THEY KNEW where the shot came from and one of the men actually saw the guy but didn't know for sure if it was the shooter or not. Then she said that all the evidence that would have proved that, was either buried or burned and hoover made Ray the guy. She said, that the fbi could not be trusted as a whole. She didn't trust them any farther than she could throw her car. She was adamant that they knew Ray was framed, and the FBI knew then and knows now who was the actual killer of her father.

Lawsuit Says Hudson County Jail Recorded Calls With Attorneys, Gave This Info To Prosecutors
from the a-snoop-too-far dept
Fri, Jan 12th 2024 01:32pm - Tim Cushing
Everyone’s aware (or should be) that all calls made from jail are monitored. Not all calls are recorded. There are exceptions, with the biggest being the one for calls made to attorneys representing jailed people.
Those are completely off-limits. These are privileged communications that cannot be monitored or recorded by the government. And yet, it seems to happen disturbingly frequently.
Part of the problem is that, in most cases, the monitoring of calls is automated and handled by third parties. The third parties make good money on every outgoing call. And if jail officials aren’t staying on top of things, everything gets collected. Once it’s collected, there’s really no reason to not take a listen to attorney-client calls (I mean, other than the rights violation). All you have to do then is just not get caught doing it.
For Securus and its incarceration customers, “getting caught” happened. A massive trove of hacked data included 14,000 recordings of calls between prisoners and their legal reps. Securus settled the inevitable class-action lawsuit five years later, covering $840,000 in legal fees and shelling out up to $20,000 to each affected inmate. It could easily afford to buy its way out of this since it has been known to charge upwards of $14 a minute for calls using its service.
The latest lawsuit to allege illegal recording of privileged communications has the potential to be another class-action lawsuit. It has been brought by a man currently serving time in a New Jersey correctional facility, who claims his attorney calls were not only recorded, but their content used against him by state prosecutors. (NJ.com was the first to report on this lawsuit, but

Ohio Court Says Calling Cincinnati Police Officer Ryan Olthaus A Racist Is Protected Speech
from the another-law-a-cop-can't-comprehend dept
Fri, Jan 12th 2024 09:32am - Tim Cushing
There are lots of things you can call veteran Cincinnati police officer Ryan Olthaus. Some people called him a racist, after he appeared to flash the “ok” sign (something associated with [but not limited to] white supremacists) at anti-police violence protesters.
You can also call him a coward. After all, he couldn’t be bothered to use his own name when suing Facebook users for calling him a racist. Instead, he spent several months trying to keep his own name out of his own litigation. He first secured an extremely unconstitutional temporary restraining order that forbade the defendants from publishing his real name on social media.
Then he managed to talk the court into allowing him to proceed with his lawsuit anonymously, claiming that anonymity was probably the only way to prevent him from being murdered or whatever by internet users. I mean, that’s what his lawyer argued when trying to prevent the restraining

Fri, Jan 12th 2024 07:39pm - Timothy Geigner
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has something of a rollercoaster history when it comes to the enforcement of its real, or perceived, intellectual property rights. On the one hand, the church has occasionally been quite lenient when it comes to not trying to battle every use of its name, traditions, or religious texts. The Book of Mormon (the play) does exist, after all, and it’s not like the church put up some big fight over it. On the other hand, the church has also previously tried to use IP laws to hide all kinds of information from the public and even gone after individuals for trying to get trademarks on terms the church feels would denigrate its stature.
Overall, however, the church appears to lean towards being a bullying bad actor when it comes to IP law generally and trademark law specifically. The latest

FBI leadership claimed Bureau was “almost powerless” against KKK, despite making up one-fifth of its membership
Deputy Director James Adams testified that the Bureau had three times as many “ghetto informants” as they did those targeting white supremacists
Written by Emma North-Best
Edited by JPat Brown
In testimony before the Church Committee, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Deputy Director acknowledged that the Bureau at one point made up as much as one-fifth of the Klu Klux Klan’s total membership - but were still powerless to curtail the KKK’s violence. His testimony also acknowledged police participation in said violence, and that the Bureau had three times as many “ghetto informants” as they did those targeting white supremacist domestic terrorists.

FBI scientist Jacqueline Blake's Misconduct
I. BLAKE'S CAREER WITH THE FBI
Jacqueline Blake was employed by the FBI in the DNAUI and its predecessor unit from August 8, 1988, until her resignation from the FBI on June 7, 2002. Blake has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. She entered duty with the FBI as a Biological Laboratory Technician at the GS-5 grade level and was assigned to the Serology Unit of the Laboratory's Scientific Analysis Section. Her job responsibilities as a Serologist included inventorying and storing evidence and conducting routine evidence examinations to identify the presence of body fluids. Although her early performance appraisals noted that her training comprehension was slower than expected, she received fully successful evaluations or above from her initial appointment until 1994, and she reached the GS-10 grade level in 1991.
The first indications of problems with Blake occurred in 1991. In that year, Blake received an oral reprimand from the DNAUI Unit Chief for abusing her sick and annual leave accounts. She was advised in July 1991 that her leave balances were in deficit and that she could not take additional leave for the rest of the year. Blake nonetheless submitted a leave slip and failed to report to work for one day in November 1991 during an absence of the Unit Chief, even though she was aware that she had no accrued leave. She also took leave for a day in December 1991 without

Epic Massachusetts crime lab scandal may involve even broader wrongdoing, judge says
State authorities said for years that one rogue chemist was behind the compromised drug tests that led to tens of thousands of overturned cases. But a judge says there may be more.
Sept. 22, 2022 By Maggie Mulvihill and Jon Schuppe
A decade-old scandal at a Massachusetts crime lab — which led authorities to dismiss tens of thousands of drug convictions — may involve wrongdoing by more people than was previously known, according to a recent court order.
A state Superior Court judge said in a ruling related to the release of a trove of state investigative materials that there is evidence that other employees at the William A. Hinton State Laboratory Institute — beyond disgraced former chemist Annie Dookhan — may have engaged in misconduct. At least one person

Investigation: ‘Gold Standard’ Of Evidence Turned To Pyrite By Colorado Crime Lab Employee
Failures
from the looks-like-law-enforcement-can't-be-trusted-to-handle-evidence dept
Mon, Mar 11th 2024 03:38pm - Tim Cushing
Law enforcement investigators and prosecutors have overwhelmingly embraced plenty of pseudoscience over the years, treating everything from bite marks to hair samples as conclusive evidence capable of singling out guilty parties.
Most claims were specious, backed only by “expert” statements from law enforcement crime lab employees solely interested in confirming prevailing law enforcement theories. And that’s when things are on the up and up. In multiple cases, forensic scientists and other crime lab employees have faked tests and falsified evidence to cover up everything from laziness to their own illegal drub habits.
DNA has long been considered the evidence no one can question. But it’s far from fallible. DNA indicates little more than something exists where other people exists. DNA is prone to cross-contamination — something that led law enforcement on a years-long pursuit of a nonexistent serial killer before investigators realized the DNA found at multiple crime scenes was actually that of the person packing the swabs investigators used when examining crime scenes.
Multiple factors make DNA far less reliable than it’s portrayed in popular media. DNA can be taken from one scene and deposited at another. Exclusion-focused tests can result in false positives simply by deciding the most common DNA at the site is an indicator of guilt. The lack of rigorous, consistent standards across all law enforcement agencies means a lot of so-called “evidence” derived from DNA at crime scenes is mostly the result of a forensic examiner’s interpretation of the data, rather than an empirical conclusion based on standardized best practices.
Then there’s things like this, where whatever value DNA evidence might have had was destroyed by lab misconduct, as Emma Tucker and Andi Babineau report for CNN.
A now-former forensic scientist with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation

We’re taught in school about checks and balances between the various branches of government, but those lessons tend to leave out the role that civilians play in holding officials accountable. We’re not just talking about the ballot box, but the everyday power we all have to demand government agencies make their records and data available to public scrutiny.

Supervisory FBI agent allowed to retire and collect pension after committing a crime.
Findings of Misconduct by a then FBI Special Agent in Charge for Ethical Violations Pertaining to Financial Conflict of Interest and Use of Public Office for Private Gain
The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated an investigation after receiving information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Inspection Division, alleging that a then FBI Special Agent in
Charge (SAC) had assigned the SAC’s spouse, who worked within the SAC’s chain of command, to serve on a committee and then arranged for the committee members, including the spouse, to receive cash awards in recognition of such service. The OIG investigation substantiated the allegation that the SAC had an imputed financial interest in the spouse’s receipt
of the cash award, and that the SAC violated federal ethics regulations and related FBI policies when the SAC—without seeking prior authorization to participate in the matter—orchestrated the spouse’s receipt of the award by directing a
subordinate to complete the paperwork necessary for the spouse to receive the award. The SAC retired from the FBI prior to being contacted by the OIG for an interview. When later contacted by the OIG for a voluntary interview, the SAC declined to be interviewed. The OIG has the authority to compel testimony from
current DOJ employees upon informing them that their statements will not be used to incriminate them in a criminal proceeding. The OIG does not have the authority to compel or subpoena testimony from former DOJ employees,
including those who retire or resign during an OIG investigation.
Criminal prosecution of the SAC was declined. The OIG has completed
