What's your contribution to freedom at this time?

Post by JohnnyL »

Wouldn't people who really cared about freedom, contribute?

When you have contributed at least $20 to Trump's re-election campaign or legal fund, or attended a rally, come back and let us know!
When you have written or called your representative(s), let us know!
When you have prayed for the Church leaders, let us know!

Let's get comments rolling!

(Or, let us know what else you have contributed during this time of "standing up against evil" and all that.)

I have educated myself and my family concerning the Founding Documents of this nation, and what the Founders Original Intent was pertaining to these documents (and their other writings). Reading/studying what they, themselves, have written - as opposed to commentaries other people have written about their words - is very important to take the time/effort to do, IMO. Although, there are a few really good commentaries worth studying, as well - such as David Barton's "Original Intent", and Cleon Skousen's "The Making of America".

I've attended many Caucuses and voted in them and have even spoken in a couple.

I've studied the Book of Mormon (and other scriptures, but esp. the BoM) in many ways/for many different reasons/answers, but especially lately in light of comparing it to what is happening in our world/church right now. Enlightening - and horrifying.

I research candidates, both local and national - contacting them personally at times, and vote for the ones I feel are best for whatever position.

I've done all the other things you mention in the OP except donate money to politicians - that's not something I've ever felt good about or felt the need to do, local or national. I have helped candidates in other ways though, when I've felt their motives were good and right.

My husband is onboard with all these things, as well, and we have taught our children, who are now teaching their children.

Contributions to political campaigns are mostly a waste that I wouldn't attribute to "contribution to freedom". The Republicans and Democrats have both only taken us further down the road of socialism. How many more trillions of dollars of debt are we in during the past 4 years? Is that freedom?

I was involved in multiple rallies and protests this year, as the government implemented more and more tyranny.

Me too! Attending rallies and protests was a new one for me. I've always been a close follower of politics, but this year I've gone to many more political events than in the past.
