Help me remember the title of this book
I read a book many years ago. I was telling a good friend about it, but I can not remember its title. It was either a biography or autobiography. This is what I remember about it.
1) It's about a Latter-day Saint polynesian
2) He had German ancestry. I believe his name was partially German. His grandfather was the German ancestor.
3) He was born and raised in either Samoa or Tonga
4) He was a carpenter by trade. He helped build the Liahona school
5) He served a LDS mission in his homeland
6) He raised someone from the dead (I believe on his LDS mission)
7) He married and eventually had 16 children
8) He moved to the United States
9) He and his wife served daily in the Salt Lake temple
10) He had his Calling and Election
11) He would give firesides claiming that his linage went through Hagoth, the Nephite shipbuilder, giving him a direct line through Lehi
12) These firesides troubled the church hierarchy and was under investigation of being excommunication
13) He eventually met with Spencer W Kimball who believed him.

Re: Help me remember the title of this book
I live in a town in the Dallas Fort Worth area, which has a lot of Tongans that live here. Several have jobs at DFW airport for the free flight benefits so they can fly back and forth to the islands. Anyway there are several Wolfgramms and relatives of them out here. We have 1 English Ward, and 2 Tongan wards in my town. It makes our High School football team pretty good. They won the state title several times. Which is pretty hard to do in Texas.

Guy's name is Iohani Wolfgraam. While I do not know the title of the book, there is a blog titled the Wood Zone that has that info for you. Just type in that name in the search bar on his blog and you should be able to pick it up.seer stone wrote: ↑March 5th, 2021, 7:07 pm I read a book many years ago.
