Liquid Sunshine, OTEC & Hydrogen investments ... Anne investor speaks!

Post by BeNotDeceived »

Disclaimer: I currently hold 28k shares of http://otecorporation.com/about/ having today, acquired 4K at $0.1055/share as a speculative investment; For sure, don’t spend your grocery money on stuff like this!

Liquid Sunshine is the title of a related article about ammonia, that I will soon post, so to allow editing of the title. Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion, I believe has amazing potential to change the world, to include neutralizing hurricanes ... Image

I used USAA to place a limit order to sell 3100 shares for slightly less than double what I paid for them, to hopefully pick up a little profit as the price oscillates. Oh well, having real skin in the game will keep it interesting. 8-)

Beyond 2030, Japan will likely import between $10 billion and $20 billion of hydrogen each year, according to a renewable energy roadmap recently published by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Japan, Singapore, and South Korea have all begun discussions with Australian officials about setting up ports for importing renewably produced hydrogen or ammonia. “How it all comes together economically, I don't know,” Harris says. “But it looks like there's enough interest to get this industry started.”

Cooper knows how he wants it to end. Over coffee on a rainy morning in Sydney, he describes his futuristic vision for renewable ammonia. When he squints, he can see, maybe 30 years down the road, Australia's coast dotted with supertankers, docked at offshore rigs. But they wouldn't be filling up with oil. Seafloor powerlines would carry renewable electricity to the rigs from wind and solar farms on shore. On board, one device would use the electricity to desalinate seawater and pass the fresh water to electrolyzers to produce hydrogen. Another device would filter nitrogen from the sky. Reverse fuel cells would knit the two together into ammonia for loading on the tankers—a bounty of energy from the sun, air, and sea.

It's the dream that nuclear fusion never reached, he says: inexhaustible carbon-free power, only this time from ammonia. “It can never run out, and there is no carbon in the system.”
There are the concluding paragraphs … Ammonia is like Hydrogen’s evil twin. :P

Anne’s video was 1 of 4 on YouTube from the last 30 days.

OTEC is much more than just another way to produce energy or make money. 8-)

Our oceans hold vast quantities of thermal and kinetic energy, thousands of times more than our entire civilisation requires for our current level of population. Technologies are quickly coming on line to harness this almost limitless power, and one of the most exciting breakthroughs could be Ocean Mechanical Thermal Energy Conversion, or OMTEC. This week we take a look at how it works.

Latest info, ideas and ongoing projects. With some discussion about the weakening of hurricanes, to help us do as commanded in Genesis 1:28. Have a think about: What to expect when we continue to fail, to do as commanded in the opening chapter of the bible.

Limitless, but not power. dbnp
