Proposition 8 documentary

Post by Geeswell »

Hello, I'm new here, and i've been reading your forums for a little while off and on. I apologize if this has been posted. I did a search and didn't see it come up which I was surprised about.

so here goes

I thought that you might find this interesting (and a bit scary). Not really terribly, but its sad more than anything.

I stumbled upon a movie documentary that is coming out next month or the month after. It is written and filmed mostly by lds or excommunicated members If i understand it right.

They make the prophet look like the devil. so for their part they do a good job at that and making the rest of us look like haters.

the trailer to the movie is http://www.mormonproposition.com/

another interesting video of a guy during fast and testimony meeting speaking out against it. i dunno how they even got a camera set up to record this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubZQ5TgFRac is the link. I'm positive you have seen that one tho.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBa8YnkN0mU is a blurb about why or what made them make the movie

this whole situation reminds me of the war in heaven. We fought against an Idea that was inherently wrong according to God's plan there, and lost 1/3 of the hosts of heaven.

Now we fight a similar battle of Ideas, again against God's plan. I read a lot of the comments on the Youtube videos i linked, and they are some angry and hateful people. most of them are excommunicated people as well. those are the worst ones.

One guy said after prop 8 was passed he beat up a mormon kid so bad he was sent to the hospital with multiple fractures. I know a lot of people got serious threats, and whats worse a LOT of people left the church i hear.

THought you might find this stuff interesting so there ya go :(

Some people like to talk about the Lord "cleaning house". I guess this could be one big way. :(

sorry if this is old news. it's been on my mind a lot lately tho, wanted to discuss it!

I watched the trailer and I'm not surprised. It's easy to manipulate a video and make things look the way you want them to. What will come, will come. I imagine it will get much worse as time marches on. The divide will become more pronounced between good and evil.

Never heard of that movie nor seen that video of the guy using testimony meeting to vent his hate towards Christ and marriage. Thanks for sharing that, Geeswell. I knew that the Sodomites, I mean gays would continue to attack us and hate us because we love truth. After all we're in the last days. Christ was hated in His last days on earth too.

Anyone who thinks that prop 8 is full of "H8TE" or homophobia is very disturbed and hates truth. The core of Prop 8 was about marriage between a man and a woman. Period. If we love truth and keep it that way, we are not taking anyone's rights away. Two gay men still have the right to marry any of the millions of women on the planet just as I do. However, once they gays try to change the definition of marriage and say that they can marry two men or two women, then THEY are the ones CREATING a right out of thin air. What they want is an EXTRA right to REDEFINE the word "marriage" and say that marrying their 'partner' qualifies for a marriage which it doesn't. Never has. If that is the case, then what's next? Can one "marry" their dog and call it "marriage" so they can file a joint tax return?? How about polygamy? Can one now marry 10, 20, 50 women so they can file a joint tax return?? How about a blow up doll? Can one "marry" a blow up doll and qualify for a joint tax return? Why not?? Who are you to tell me who I can love? Who are you to tell my dog that he doesn't love me?? (being that I'm a perverted person who believes in bestiality) Who are you to tell my 50 wives that they don't love me?? Don't take my "rights" away!!

That's where we are going if we say that marriage can be between 2 men or 2 women. That opens the flood gates. Gays don't want to hear the truth. They want to REDEFINE what marriage means. They have no right to change TRUTH. They are full of LIES. They just want to hate on Christians for defining what marriage has ALWAYS meant - one man and one woman. Period. It's about LOVE. Christ-like love.

Thanks for the insight Army of Truth and ChelC.

another thing reason, Army of Truth is found http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46945

This is a really scary reason why we cannot allow this. I've heard it said that our rights not to "Seal" homosexual couples in the temple wouldn't be affected if were made legal to marry them. is that true? I just don't see what would stop people from creating problems in that area if it were ever passed.

Especially when churches like the catholic church are getting flak from it already. Some churches fear that they will be sued for discrimination.

sounds to me that the homosexuals and their supporters are telling us this now, so they can get what they want. we all know it will end up being a huge legal mess for everyone. then comes sodom and gamora.

The brethren knew this fight was coming. In the "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" the brethren left out a very interesting word when describing marriage. Check this out:
We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.
OK, which word did they leave out? I believe this was inspired and intentional. The word they did not include in the proclamation is "legally". There is a difference between the two words, legally and lawfully. To make something "legal" a government only has to pass a "statute" or "act" to make it so the things has the "force of law" but is not law. Something that is "lawful" is inherently so such as the lawful prohibition of murder and the basis of "law" is from ancient origins like the Bible and God. Thus we see the push for "democracy" and "civil rights" which are all fallacies and produce "statues" that are only color of law i.e. same sex marriage.

People should read, and re-read, the Proclaimation to their families. Yes, it is simple and to the point -- but that is what people need in this age of materialism and moral relativism.

Awesome insight there. Thanks a ton for pointing that out. Of course what the prophets say is scripture and deserves the close attention you have paid. Cool :D :D
