Re: Is Anyone Openly Gay at Church?

Nothing like that I’m aware of in So Utah County. Okay, that is surprising and encouraging to hear! From the Midwest it sounds like SLC is the hotbed of it all with Provo coming in at a close second. South Utah County is…what, Payson? Spanish Fork? I live in American Fork which is just north of Pro...

Re: Covid hysteria back in my ward

Got this message in my email yesterday - 9th Ward Members, The Area Presidency is encouraging the Saints to come and join meetings "in-person." Utah Wards will be returning to pre-pandemic live-streaming of meetings protocol...which only permits for "limited circumstances." And a...

Re: Roe v. Wade now overturned

I posted this on facebook yesterday, thought I would post it here as well. No mean comments yet :) - As an Ultrasound tech by profession. I wanted to express my gratitude on this day. I've seen amazing things as I've performed ultrasounds on innumerous pregnant women over the last 13 years. I've see...

Less pride this year

So I don't know if it's just my area, I'm smack dab in the middle of Utah County, but it seems like there is a lot less pride month stuff going on. Last year as I drove around my neighborhood in June I saw at least 4-5 pride flags up. This year I haven't seen one. Besides my sister who is flying her...

Re: Here come the blackouts. . .living without electricity cheapest option

The issue of power has long been one that I've worried about and not had an answer for until recently. I've looked at generators but if there is a large natural disaster or in a SHTF scenario, there's not going to be gas/propane/fuel sources to run a generator for more than a few days or a week at m...

Re: Are you Ready to Head for the Hills?

I used to be a tent camp believer. Or at least I thought that was a real possibility as society begins to tank and fall apart. It made sense that there would need to be a seperation of the righteous and the wicked before the end. At this time, I don't really feel that way. I think that we'll mostly ...

Re: Romney MOST unfavorable in poll...

Yep, but Utahns will return like a dog to its vomit Not this time, at least I don't believe we will. I was a HUGE Romney supporter when he was running for President and now you couldn't pay me a large enough sum of money (under 7 figures :) ) to vote for him again. I don't know if it will be Mike K...

As I pointed out earlier, this prophecy is NOT part of the white horse prophecy. I read through the whole white horse prophecy and THIS isn’t in there. This is a separate prophecy.

But - will Q15 wear masks at General Conference 2.5 weeks from now? We'll see... This guy probably will: Romney masks toddlers.png I was just elected at the Caucuses here in Utah as a State delegate. Re: Will you give up your mask?

This last Sunday the bishopric finally all had their masks off. They also allowed the young men to pass the sacrament without masks for the first time. There was still maybe 20-25% of the ward wearing masks. I'm assuming they all have their own special reasons but I think this is really about over. ...

Re: Will you give up your mask?

They just sent an email out at the clinic that I work at here in Utah County that we're in the green now and masking is optional. Every single employee pretty much immediately removed their masks. It's so weird seeing some of these peoples faces that I've never seen before :)

Re: When the Bear lays it's hand upon the Lion...

The bear and Lion aren't actually part of the White Horse Prophecy. It was actually something told to Jessie W. Fox by John Taylor's father - Speaking about Russia brings to mind a prophecy which is accredited to the Prophet Joseph Smith, concerning this country. Elder Jesse W. Fox, Sr., received th...

Re: What is the draft? And can it ever be reinstated? Here's what to know

My bishop is retired military and he told me on Sunday that the first group called up would be ages 18-37. He said that they actually can draft all the way up to age 58 but the old guys would be some of the last and not be foot soldiers.

Re: NEW MASK GUIDANCE FROM FP

So I'm interested to hear more about how everyone's ward responded this last Sunday and going forward. Since they announced this in August I would say our ward has been 65-70% masked but this Sunday we were about 40% masked and as soon as the announcement was read, my wife (who has been super dedica...

Re: Wheel of Time (Amazon Prime series)

I watched the first season and was pretty disappointed. I'm a HUGE fan of the books so I had high hopes. It had a lot of the story but was full of progressive agendas and wokism. They also made some large changes which didn't work that well for me. It's in my top 3 fantasy series of all time but I d...

Re: Real life experiences with the vaccine

An update for my family - We've all developed open cancerous sores that fester over our hands and faces, but we had an awesome time on our cruise! I didn't know they offered cruises to leprous colonies these days. :) This one was special :) No in reality we're all just fine. My wife, I, and all my ...

Re: Real life experiences with the vaccine

Well I'm alive! The 2nd second shot for me was easier than the first. Barely a sore arm. No other side effects. My 4 kids were all fine too. They're all teenagers. My 18 year old daughter had a little body aches/chills for 1 day. I went mountain biking on Saturday 3 days after the shot and had no pr...
