Re: Millennials allegedly hold 10 times less wealth than Boomer generation (not about generational blaming and fighting)
I'm glad that Buried Tartaria points out straight away he is not generation blaming. The younger generations also catch a lot of flak because of what they supposedly (don't) do. Generations are essentially a fallacy because many people of the same age group have very different interests. If anyone ...

Re: Millennials allegedly hold 10 times less wealth than Boomer generation (not about generational blaming and fighting)
Also, while I know it was not the intention of the OP (or believe so) this divide and conquer strategy of the old vs the young is just another flavor of cultural Marxism.

Re: Millennials allegedly hold 10 times less wealth than Boomer generation (not about generational blaming and fighting)
There are a variety of reasons for this: * The older folk got on the property ladder when it was cheaper. * Work and wealth headed overseas. * The arrival of the Gig Economy (or whatever you call it stateside) * Much of the property market is being snapped up by a handful of individuals (Air BnB) a...

Re: Millennials allegedly hold 10 times less wealth than Boomer generation (not about generational blaming and fighting)
Also not meant as a fight, but I think needs to be addressed: When I started my professional career around 1985, my salary was exactly $20,000. In 1995 I got a new job and got a big increase to $40K salary. I was 32. Paternity leave didn't exist and paid maternity leave was 6 weeks at best. I worked...

Re: Nobody asked for this, but here are my thoughts on everything (ongoing project)
The End: and New beginning I've decided this project wasn't well thought out. My initial idea was kind of a magnum opus. I feel like I have solutions to many world problems and kind of a cool big picture of things. But I tend to overshare and get into a lot of details that really aren't appropriate...

Re: My new Youtube Channel- Latter-day Dude
I'm glad to see you back. I never looked at you as an enemy, I think you are very smart and have a lot to offer. I do tend to attack ideas, sometimes not because I disagree, but it is kind of a Socratic exercise to see how the idea (good or bad imho) holds up. Perhaps you share the same tendency as ...

Re: Do you trust the leaders of the LDS church?
I don't think we should ever trust anyone to the point of "I'll fall over backwards and you will catch me" when the consequence of not getting caught is damnation. Only the Lord is worthy of that level of trust.

Re: Do you trust the leaders of the LDS church?
I think they are generally good men trying to do good things. I think there MAY be some few downright evil infiltrators and/or some few completely misguided men and women in the upper echelons, and a crap ton of clueless in the 70/area/70 and stake president level. (As an aside one of the most based...

48 hours no food or water + 24 hours water only. I was feeling pretty wobbly at the 48 hour mark water made things a lot better.
I thought that was pretty good, but some of the things you people have done are amazing. I'm blown away.
