Re: New seminary rules and raising the bar
I still use the cover to cover method to read the book of Mormon. By reading it cover to cover it keeps me engaged and I feel like I am getting somewhere and each night after reading my regular scheduled reading I then find something of interest from what I read or have been wondering about and stud...

Re: Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God
Please feel free to post your testimony of a living prophet and if you don't have one feel free to read the testimonies of others feel the spirit and gain one.
The Lord calls prophets in His church. I testify that Thomas S. Monson has been called of the Lord and is a prophet of God.

Re: New seminary graduation requirements
Many of you here just like to look for things to complain about. For a long time there have been many different way's students are graded and when you have thousands upon thousands of kids who is to say what one seminary class to another was doing was fair. To simplify the standards for seminary gra...

Re: New seminary graduation requirements
Let's not soon forget we all currently being tested and are partaking of the Lords School. We have our agency and so do the students. Seminary is not a requisite for life eternal but an aide that has been given us if we choose to use it. I think not passing can affect where you serve your mission as...

Re: New seminary graduation requirements
It's hard because so many kids play video games or are on electronics in general. Most kids don't read the scriptures at all at least now they will be required to. I think it's a great move as in our stake the kids that read the Book of Mormon during seminary was under 20%.

Re: I've turned into a Julie Rowe skeptic
Do you tell the person that you were unable to help that it is their fault? I do not fault men for not having the power to heal my daughter. I fault them for repeatedly suggesting that she did something wrong to cause it, creating a lie in her belief system that God hated her because she was being ...

^^^^ still waiting, brother boo. I sustain him as a prophet ,seer and revelator. I also believe him when he speaks authoritatively as a spokesman for God ( in hebrew that is what prophet means - spokesman). I have had the privilege of individually visiting with and speaking with every President of ...

Re: I've turned into a Julie Rowe skeptic
So it's the leaders of the church at fault because you were not healed? Wouldn't you just be better off or equal in saying it's God's fault for not giving you the answers to be healed or healing you? Btw, as much as I would love to ignore the falsehood here.... I absolutely do not equate any mans v...

Re: I've turned into a Julie Rowe skeptic

Shadow that was you accepting the job of moderator correct? Shadow does bring up a good point. I don't even know who all the moderators are but I know that at least some of them are pro snuffer and it appear to allow evil speaking of the Lords anointed in the LDS church but nothing must be said abou...

I read this speech just today from Stephen R Covey. I found if profound. I at times find discernment of the spirit a struggle. This one is worth reading the entire speech.

Today, we have been invited "to sweep the earth as with a flood" by Elder David A. Bednar! It feels as if the hastening is accelerating. https://www.lds.org/church/share/goodness https://www.lds.org/prophets-and-apostles/unto-all-the-world/to-sweep-the-earth-as-with-a-flood?lang=eng So in...

Re: Why this stumbling block?
My friend Aaron made a FREE app for Android phones that conveniently presents the language used in common priesthood ordinances. Aaron is very humble and he loves the gospel (and technology). At some point, he thought to make an official request from the church for permission to use the copyrighted...

Re: A Different View of the Wolfgramm Prophecy
It's possible that we are seeing these things. Often I think we expect the fulfillment of something to be obvious or immediate but the drought which we have been seeing recently does not have to happen immediately afterwards and each thing could take years. The collapse was pretty significant but it...

Re: Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God
I was at a wedding reception about 12 years ago and President Monson walked in with his wife. The first thing he did was walk over to a table of about 10 kids all of which ranged from 3-8 and stood there talking to them for probably 5 min. I sat there thinking if the Savior was here he would have do...

Darn I was enjoying this thread and then the Snufferites showed up. Julie gave her answer can we leave it at that and move on? You can take the comments and toss them in the I love snuffer locked area and keep this thread as one that believes the church is true. This is about preparation spiritually...

Re: What is your ward/stake focused on right now?
As a temple worker I hope the wards and stakes strike a balance between missionary work and temple and family hist work. My stake is consumed with missionary work with nary a mention about the temple. Other stakes must be doing this too because attendance is so very low at the temple. Yet fam hist ...

I think the greater problem is the pornography & lustful desires that usually are associated with masturbation. It's also good for man not to be alone marriage is important. I do think masturbation is a sin to what degree that I am not so sure of. There are a lot of single sisters out there youn...
