Re: Chilling statement by President Trump

Allison, never quit praying for miracles. The Brunson brothers are in our prayers. Stranger things have happened, e.g., storms chasing away bad guys.

Not sure why you are assuming that the woman who is pictured directing the DC Gay Men's Chorus is a woman.

Re: Take up your cross

My then teens, plus others, were saying something snarkily similar to what you heard as a child, Pazooka: "If they killed Him with an electric chair, would you wear THAT around your neck?! Har har!" Our normally even-tempered Young Men's counselor lost it with them: "Don't you dare ri...

Re: Take up your cross

So, Pazooka, it's not that the talk "made" me "go out and buy a cross." Let me tell you my story: I was a TBM until 2020. The Church's handling of the whole Covid thing was shattering. Like many others, I was stunned to see what was happening at headquarters--the masks, the vax, ...

Re: Joel Skousen Year End Highland Meeting - Friday, December 2

I wonder if someone in leadership had a little chat with Joel in the last year. At the very end of his 2021 meeting, he asked people to turn off their phones and keep this discussion quiet, and he did address concerns about the leadership. Not a word, this year. It kind of reminded me of Biden: &quo...

Re: Chilling statement by President Trump

Check YouTube for the Brunson Brothers, or Loy Brunson, (+ Supreme Court), who have filed a citizen's case regarding unconstitutional omissions in the 2020 election. They used to be in my old ward. Very gutsy and maybe promising. They say that the case is constitutional, not political. The case is a...

Thanks, Lizzy. We have gone to his website, but good to know he is on Rumble--not just his Died Suddenly movie, but his daily shows. It's too bad, though. We need to stick together.

Re: World Premiere: Died Suddenly

Speaking of Stew Peters, his show is gone from Brighteon, and no one is saying why. At first I thought it was a Thanksgiving thing, but it's still gone. I know Mike Adams said something in a review of Died Suddenly that caused a lot of negative feedback. He corrected his review and apologized, but I...

Re: How to help suicidal folk?

One family member, a teen, was on antidepressants, which weren't working. They changed his RX and he immediately tried an overdose. No repeat since he was pulled off of that one. Another family member, who was on Prozac, tried half a dozen times over his lifetime, usually with pills. Then he tried a...

Re: December 7th, 2022

Speaking of warnings from the Q15, I don't recall anything helpful from the last Conference--although I'm sure Elder Holland's talk about not wearing crosses is of grave importance in these difficult times.

Re: Eye cataracts

I had cataract surgery on both eyes about four years ago (Excel Eye Center in Provo). Now I see like a teenager, up close and far away. I was surprised to find, after surgery on the first eye, that I had been looking at the world through dirt-colored lenses: The snow was white when viewed through th...

Re: Sacrament meeting talks today

Half a day later, I can't tell you much about the talks today; they were forgettable, as are most--which reminds me, why did they say we can't use object lessons in our talks? Not everyone learns by hearing. So many rules. Oh, and they're ending Zoom Sacrament meetings, so forget about drinking hot ...

Small Christmas tree with only nativities, pictures of Christ and Temples. It was painful, but I have ditched most of my Santas over the years. One year I just decorated the tree with cards from Family Search with our ancestors' names.

I haven't even told my family (all vaxed, except spouse) how dangerous and evil this is, because, I thought, why freak them out? It's done. Plus, they don't listen--about vaccines, politics or religion. At Latter-day Saints for Health Freedom on Facebook, there are anecdotal stories and suggestions ...

Re: Official Church statement: Respect for Marriage Act

I waited for something to be said about this, Sunday, and...crickets--from the podium and the people. No one was freaking out, concerned, or even conversing about it. Anything from the Q15 goes. Instead, I heard three fun references to Disneyland and Disney movies, from the pulpit. Hello? Disney? Re...
